Should come with a health warning that going from level 1 to level 3 will initially feel like a form of medieval torture. I’ve used a level 1 Shakti Mat for a while and got to the point where it felt weirdly comfortable and even the dog didn’t mind it! So, saw the level 3 mat and thought let’s cut the middle mat out and just go all in, how much more ‘spiky’ could it be! So to clarify, the first time I used the level 3, I couldn’t see for 5 minutes due to my eyes streaming, and not could I talk due to my clenched teeth. The accompanying burning sensation felt like someone had applied copious amounts of tiger balm and deepheat then dried it with a blowtorch. But, after 5 minutes of seeing ‘Jesus’, that sensation subsides and the relaxing feeling is amazing and my quality of sleep has improved since using it. Much like eating hot curries the I tail pain is felt twice, once when you get on and secondly when you try to peel yourself off it, other than that, amazing product, worth the extra money and supper relaxing once you get used to it. 😀

I bought this mat after doing a lot of research. After my husband's surgery he had a side effect to anesthesia that led to insomnia for a very long time. He's a hardcore pain bearing person so straight away I went for level 2 and this mat helped him relax and go into a sleeping mode. It didn't "cure" his insomnia (yet) but tremendously helps with getting into a relaxation state. Now I am trying my pain bearing level so will see after 3 weeks :)

Great. I love my Shakti mat. Wouldn't be without it. I sit down at my desk all day 9-5. I lay on this and it releases the stiffness in my back and hips Anyone thinking of getting one, don't think, just buy

I would never had believed what a difference it would make to my back until I used it. Absolutely love my new mat, it’s got to be Shakti as no other makes are as good, I have had my mat for a week and half now and the difference to my pain is unbelievable. I get up in the morning pain free and can walk pain free. I accidentally bought a neck pillow that wasn’t Shakti and it’s not half as good. No more expensive back appointments to deal with, this is life changing!

Like it explains, you want to get off in the first few minutes, if you stick with it it’s great though, the uncomfortableness disappears and the relaxation sets in. I’ve had some lower back issues since lockdown forced me to work from home at the dining table, a few days using the Shakti mat and it’s loads better.

Can only assume the people that lay on this thing with no clothing on are basically just dead inside. There's nothing relaxing or therapeutic about it. It looks like you're going to lay on a mat covered in the plastic equivalent of drawing pins and unsurprisingly, that's exactly what it feels like. I did not lay on it, suddenly become incredibly relaxed and fall asleep only to wake up half an hour later like some are claiming to do. I had a t-shirt on, laid on it for all of about ten seconds before swearing at it, rolling it back up and sticking it in the cupboard where it's remained ever since. I'll stick to massages instead.

I’ll be honest and say I scoffed at this, getting targeted on instagram….how wrong was I. This is incredible for relaxation, both physically and mentally. I opted to go in with the highest level, purely due to not wanting to have to buy another in the future. The first 3 sessions were tough…I wanted to get off after 30 seconds. Once you ride through that discomfort it’s really incredible. I can compare this to having an amazing deep tissue massage. Wonderful before sleep or any time in the day when you want to switch off and relax

Having uawe Shakti years ago I was quite surprised to see the huge increase in price ar nearly £100 a mat I have used one from qvc for a while that's great and cost £25 But decided to try shakti again. Just for a change to add to my collection Tbh I didn't think the quality justified the price. And I'm someone who's pays for expensive stuff if it's worth it. I really don't mind. Alot of stuff I have at home isn't cheap However when it arrived for £80 it's cheap sponge and the plastic spikes sewn onto it. Of course you're paying for the quality of plastic spikes etc ...but I can't say I felt it was worth £80 And to my surprise I actually preferred the spikes on my cheaper £25 one. I felt they gave more spike feeling but less painful I am aware that some of the cheaper mats the spikes aren't strong enough. So you feel very little and they won't do the job properly. I recall trying lots of different cheaper mats before I found one I liked on qvc. (The one I have is by the brand TILI...you might be able to find it on eBay as qvc no longer stock them) But overall I wasn't that impressed with Shakti and returned it. Think they should be around £50-55 in an ideal world. I don't think they can justify nearly £100. My mat was level 2 and didn't tbh feel much benefit ...it was sharp but just didn't give the same buzz as my tili one I would say if you're a beginner start off with level 1 as level 2 might be too sharp for you Personally I think try across section of cheaper ones off Amazon ..you can always return them if they aren't right, maybe try 5 or 6 different cheaper ones and see if you like any of them. As I don't think the shakti ones are that good anymore

difficile spiegare l’effetto benefico dello shakti mat se non lo avete mai provato, Io ho preso questa versione perchè piu lunga ma ho usato la classica per anni, decontrae, rilassa, allevia i dolori e addirittura induce il sonno (io devo puntare la sveglia dopo 15 minuti altrimenti mi addormento e ci resto troppo a lungo). Prezzo leggermente inferiore a quello del sito ufficiale.

The mat came very well packaged with a nice set of instructions and plent of information. There was no excess plastic used and the company definitely puts priority of using sustainable materials for the packaging. I love that I can scan a bar code to see who made my mat and the name of the person that made it is handwritten on the label. All these small touches make me want to purchase from these kind of companies. On to the mat. This is one of the more intense versions, so if you're new to these mats, follow the instructions and don't give up. They do feel kind of painful at first, but I promise, this doesn't last long. These are my personal feelings when using acupressure mats, especially this one. There is a strong sense of warmth on my back and this is due to the blood starting to flow properly. I then feel it working on (in my case) my shoulder blade where I have a trapped nerve. I do like to bend my knees up, so my feet are flat on the floor because this puts pressure onto my lower back which feels amazing. Then I start to feel extremely relaxed and have been known to fall asleep. It does help me wind down in preparation for bed so I tend to do it shortly before that. I just love these mats because they honestly do work and consistency is key but results can be felt after around 10 or 15 minutes in my case. I place mine on the floor which is recommended but they do say you can place on a bed if you're new to them, I personally wouldn't because you won't get the full effect and it's just around 5 or 10 minutes of discomfort until your body gets used to it. Highly recommend for anyone with muscle aches, back issues, anything of the sort. The design is also really nice with the black and gold.
