Tesla's policy to deliver vehicles without a permanent front license plate 1) encourages "entitled" behavior by Tesla owners in states that still require front plates and 2) requires Tesla owners who don't want to appear arrogant and give cops probable cause for a traffic stop to find third-party mounting solutions.I initially bought an inexpensive mount that worked for a while– until one day my front plate disappeared and is probably still lying by the side of a Northern California freeway or in the lost-and-found bin at a car wash.The Slipstream Bracket is beautiful and mounts perfectly in the grill. I guess my only concern is that it's so sturdy, if someone wants to really tug on it the plastic grill will give way before the bracket does. Oh well, gotta take your chances. At least we've got Sentry mode.Yes, the bracket it's pricey. But so is the car!

Super sturdy, easy to install and great looking. I wish it was a bit cheaper but honestly nothing else I've seen comes close, the quality is excellent.

Full confession: I wouldn’t have purchased this product if it weren’t for that uptight cop who gave me a ticket for not having a front license plate on my Tesla. Yeah, I knew it was the law to have a front plate here in Virginia, but come on!? Who wants to put a plate on the beautiful front bumper of a Tesla model Y? This plate is a little on the pricey side, but it is mounted underneath the front bumper which leaves my bumper pristine. That way if I decide to go rogue again someday and remove the front license plate, there will be no damage to my car. Don’t worry about durability with this product. It is sturdy!

The price isn't low to be honest but the quality of the mount is superb, steel frame. I bought this because my state require it. Installation and removal is very easy and no extra tool is needed.

You have to put a little effort (as directed in the instructions) so it clips on. Fits well, sturdy. Pricey, but nice. Hopefully it won't break the grill it attaches to, otherwise all good.

A little pricy, but worth every penny if you ask me. Installed fast, lightweight and I would recommend.

This is Quality.Super solid, all metal construction makes this the only non-damaging mount available for your Tesla Model Y that isn't flimsy plastic. The only thing that comes in the box that isn't metal are the instructions and bumpers that protect your delicate paint. I bought the plastic version at 1/2 the price, mounted it, saw how flimsy it was, immediately removed it, and sent it back. Save yourself the time and postage. Get the right bracket first.Very simple to install and all of the tools (one) you need are included. Do be aware if you have a thick license plate frame or EZ-Pass that mounts with your frame you may need to contact the manufacturer for longer screws, but they provide them for free if you do.Shipping was super fast too. Amazon's estimated delivery was 3 weeks out, I got it in 3 days. Maybe I just got lucky, but it would have been worth the wait even if I had to wait.
