been using these for my dubia colony for the past 6 years and they work well, they swell up pretty big too and rehydrate perfectly fine after drying out so i imagine for plants these would work fine as intended. my colony has had no issues on these so unless your plants or whatever you use them for are super sensitive to them somehow uh id say go for it. if you want these for your bugs id say give it a try, maybe do a small seperate group of insects as a test run first y'know

Go by the directions for the amount. A little goes a long way. It really helped by providing needed moisture and carried the plants extra time between watering.

I have 4 pots of flowers that fit on my deck rails. I use these crystals to help with watering. You need to make sure, however, that when you do plant and use these crystals, that you don’t put the crystals near the top of the pot because they will just blow up and sit on top of the soil. So make sure you put these crystals towards the bottom of your pot. They blow up and water your plants naturally. Your soil won’t dry out as quickly and you won’t have to water as often.

This is the greatest for a really warm area like Atlanta, where I live. Be careful not to use too much or it will be flowing all over with the first watering/rain. I don't know why every place that sells plants doesn't carry this product!

My flowers were never happier. Mixed a small amount into the potting soil for each flower. Worked great!

These crystals work well for moisture retention in potted plants. I don’t use them in all my plants, but some dry out so quickly that I had to repot them and use this to amend my potting soil.

The day after I buried these 3-4" deep in existing pots we had heavy rains. The pellets all swelled and came to the surface. Not useful.

Use yearly.

Water storing crystals work well and are non toxic so can be used on veggie soil.

It is good product Use justxa small amount when mixed with potting plants soil. It retains enough humidity.

Haven't used the product yet, however, it is similar to a product I have purchase before, which worked very well in my hanging pots. I received the product one day earlier than they told me.
