This fits perfectly. The lightweight, durable plastic is good and will protect the lens.

Nice to have the lens covered with both an extra lens and a cover. Truly a cover should have come with this camera! I have never bought a camera that the lens was not protected in some way. This does the trick.

Fit my TG5 perfectly. Very happy.

The protects the camera lens however it traps air bubbles under water. I have lost many nice shots because I forgot to remove the holder ring and filter before entering the water..

it doesnt focus or zoom, just a clear lens cover to protect camera lens - very important - would rather buy/replace another one of these than the camera. the lens cap is ok, extra protection when camera not in use & comes with a strap i attached to the camera so it can be removed (and dangles from cam) when shooting. cheap but effective.

It's worth it buy another one just in case

I alway like having a lens protector between my camera lens and nasties like dirt , dust , fingerprints , sharp objects and the like . Much cheaper than a damaged lens .

This works well as long as you're not intending to take it into the water. The ring does not provide a waterproof seal so water does get behind the filter causing droplets to form or fog to develop behind the filter. Totally useless once that happens as you need to remove the ring or filter to clear it.

I purchased in part to provide lenses protection for my TG-7 and also to hold other 40.5mm filters, which it does. However, if you're expecting quality or a precision fit look elsewhere. The bayonet locks in place on the camera with a fair amount of play. it probably won't fall off but doesn't inspire confidence. The ring is made from cheap plastic and the screwing on the alloy filter proved tricky. Great care and multiple attempts were required to avoid cross threading. Given I expect to be changing out filters regularly I suspect I will tire of this hassle quickly I certainly won't buy again and will be on the outlook for something of better quality.
