Great little magnifier to read small letters in product brochures , literatures , etc , don't have to hold it with your hands , you set it on the table , desk , it has 2 bright light settings , it come with batteries and a power adaptor , you can use it either way

This is so great for when you need to read tiny print or fix small things that are hard to see. I love it so far! I wear reading glasses (1.50) but have trouble reading small, fine print and working with small trinkets. This is going to put an end to my eye squinting and having to use my phone camera to just read things! I love that it stands up and a has a light I will get plenty of use out of this gadget! The price is absolutely great for this.

After tying to use this item while crafting, I realized that I craft on the couch a lot. Snuggled into a huge pillow against the arm of the couch and trying to balance this magnifying glass on my thigh is not the best idea I've ever had. The product itself is great! There are two light levels, and both are sadly too dim for my needs. If you sit at a table a lot and need magnification with some light, then yes, this works perfectly!

Most reviews are from people who purchased this relatively recently, so I want to give the perspective from someone who has owned more long-term (for ten months). The design is so clever — the way you can adjust it to varying angles and heights is genius. It clicks into place firmly and stays in position. And having a built-in light makes a world of difference in your ability to discern details, especially if you’re from Gen X or older. I REALLY want to love this magnifying glass. However, it has two flaws, one more minor, the other major: 1. It doesn’t charge the internal batteries when plugged in, meaning you are constantly having to awkwardly take out and replace them (minor) 2. The LED lights stopped working entirely after less than a year. As you can see from photo, it hasn’t been abused. LEDs typically have lifespans in the tens of thousands of hours, but I have used this only in the hundreds of hours (major) TLDR: If you’re ok with buying a new one of these a couple times a year, I think you’ll find yourself using it all the time! EDIT: After I wrote them to complain, they said they’d refund my original purchase if I bought a new one at the higher price, and after quite a few emails back and forth, they honored that. So upgrading from 2 to 3 stars. Would have upgraded to four stars if they had just replaced the item

I am working on some laptop upgrades. And, I ran into a problem with a screw head. It has never been removed forever and I am not sure how they got it in there as the grooves were barely there. It seems to have been made wrong. I proceeded anyway and now the thread is stripped as the screws are soft. So, now I find myself trying to do electronic surgery to get the screw out. I have been hunched over my laptop with a flashlight shrugged against my neck that keeps falling and shutting off, while folding a magnifying glass and trying to do precision work on a tiny recessed screw. Ultimately, I decided that I needed a better set up. I am so glad I bought this! The magnification level work well with the height of the glass. The lights give good illumination of the recesses of the boards, and it is very easy to adjust its position and angle so that I can use either lens. I think this will also be useful for examining the connectors before I push or pull something so that I am manipulating it the right was and line things up well. I am so glad I bought this one.p!

It is sturdier than I thought it would be. It is easy to use. It's really a nice size to hold in your hand no matter what size your hands are. I had my friends with big & small hands try it. They didn't have a problem holding the magnifying glass. Of course, the only thing I think most people would change is that the cord is short and that it has to stay plugged in to get power to the LED lights which are really nice. I have to use it on my kitchen table. My office desk is too small to use for the projects I'm working on. Luckily, I happen to have a USB cord extender. I hope no one trips over the cord. I don't know if it would have been possible to manufacture this product to hold a charge so it wouldn't have to stay plugged in. It is small. Who knows? It could have been designed that way for us to buy it at a more reasonable price. The price is great compared to others that don't seem to have the right design. They look flimsy to me. Also, when trying to find the right magnifier I noticed that other products had a square or rectangular stand. I would think that would be in the way of some objects you want to view. Those products even cost more money. I like how the design of this device lets me slide a coin in and out from under it without having to pick it up all the time. The big reason for my purchase is that more people bought this particular magnifying glass than others. A lot more. So, I can say that you will be pleasantly surprised when you receive your magnifying glass. Don't forget, it does use batteries. That may be a better choice for you. Both ways of powering this device was not a deal breaker for me. I can adapt for a product that has a reasonable price to use for all of my small projects. I can see the dates on my coins way better now. I am happy with it. Once again, if you're like me, you will be pleasantly surprised. It is good for the price. Magnification looks to be x10, but since the diameter is a bit small, it can be a bit dizzying. The lights are good as well, although a kelvin temp adjustment would have been awesome. Overall, this works as advertised. Just take it slow as it takes a while to adjust to the magnification.

This has been a handy purchase. When you need to wear glasses and still can’t see, the stand function is so helpful. Love the light and is nice and compact.
