Great for extending the reach of a mic!
I love this extender for my microphone because I no longer have to carry a mic stand for performances. I just clip the mic clam mount on my metal music stand. Its wonderful. I play guitar so I sit back from the music stand a bit so I needed to get a few links to extend it but the Stage Ninja company was wonderful about getting them for me. This has made my performance life easier.

Great for small spaces
Very useful clamp for situations where you don’t have a room for a conventional mic stand. Strong grip.

Exactly what's advertised - Great!
This product does exactly what I need. I use a Sennheiser MKH-416, so it's a little lighter than other mics. With that, I would think this clamp would hold something much heavier with ease. It's STURDY.

this is a great way to go
If you want a flexible tripod solution, this is a great way to go. Nice and stiff so no drooping no matter what camera you put on it. I am using it on my desk to hold a webcam-provides helpful options. I also bought the Stage Ninja Scorpion Accessories SSA-KIT Microphone Stand for additional options. I recommend both products and travel with them in my travel bag of accessories.

Suggestive look, but works in a pinch
This thing has a very questionable look to it that definitely raises a lot of eyebrows when you first pull it out of your kit. I used it for an upright bass, attaching it to the tailpiece with a small diaphragm condenser right on the bottom of the F-hole. When I told the bass player I was going to put this thing in his F-hole he said he’s used to these things being tapered and a lot smaller, but was willing to give it a shot. It worked great and made for an inexpensive and great sounding upright bass pickup.

Perfect for my needs.
This is perfect for my needs. I have been hauling around an unweildy mic stand, a music stand, and a speaker. This allows me to seat the mic and clip it to the edge of the music stand. The clamp fits very snugly and is quite strong (will not jar loose). The neck can be bent to any angle to fit the performer. It is a lot easier to carry than the awkward and heavy stand I used before.

Not for guitar cabs...
I got this device for use as a guitar cabinet microphone mount. The flexible knuckles on this product can separate completely. When this occurs, the microphone will fall to the floor as you move it around to get your desired mic placement. Luckily this only happened with a SM-57 and not my more expensive ribbon mics. The flexible knuckles are also a pain to get in place. You do not get a lot of movement if you are trying to sweep your microphone around the cabinet for different guitar sounds in the studio. I would not recommend this mount for recording guitar cabinets. Go with a CabGrabber or something more conducive to the life of your microphone...
