Will it fit in a Mustang pickup cover?

It won't fit in any normal pickup cover the poles are very large.

Is this a good pick-up to put in the neck position for a Jimi Hendrix style tone/sound?

I think it would be much too hot. Seymour Duncan makes a JH Signature pickup set. You may want to checkout the Fender Custom Shop 69 set also.

Can I use it as a middle pickup?

I'm using it as a middle pickup in a HSH Stienberger Spirit.
