Zwilling Fresh & Save Vacuum Sealer Marchine Starter Set, 6pc

I love this system and it does keep food fresh several days longer. I did have a lid that wouldn’t stay sealed on one of the containers. Bought them at prime day before Christmas and just now contacted zwilling directly. They are sending me a replacement lid and apologized for any annoyance on my part. I think that is very good customer service!

This is an excellent product and works better than expected. It's well designed, very easy to use, good quality and does exactly what I had hoped it would do. Have used it with a variety of the different bag sizes for freezing a variety of food items-worked great on everything! No freezer burn, ice crystals or food that's taste changed from the freezing. One tip: follow instructions and do quick-freeze on soft items such as bread, cookies BEFORE sealing the bag! I thought I'd be quick enough to stop pulling the air, but did squish a few items - much easier when you pre-freeze them. Also used the glass containers for leftovers, dried goods, etc. They are extremely high quality glass and absolutely seal out the air, though they are heavy. I hand wash the bags, sometimes soak with baking soda and water if there's any food odor on them and dry thoroughly before storing away. The glass containers, I've put in the dishwasher top rack, but carefully hand-wash the covers due to the rubber gaskets. This sealer and accessories works far better than any other sealer I've used and the idea that you're able to re-use the bags is a huge plus! As the old saying goes, "This is the best thing since sliced bread!" Highly recommend this for all those folks that, like me, have tried everything, but find other products bulky, wasteful and not really always quick and easy to use....

Update 06/23... I've made several purchases of this sytem. Fully committed. However, now I'm having issue with the lids staying sealed. I clean after every use, make sure the lid is properly positioned, and ensuring the pump has a good charge. Seems the medium size glass containers are the only ones I'm having issue with. Disappointed. Total game changer for me! Absolutely love this system. Use the containers for berries and salad greens mostly. Bags for freezing protein. I have fresh berries for 2 weeks. Raspberries 1 week. Normally raspberries are toast within 3 days because they're so delicate. Photos are at 14 days Being single hindered what I shopped for because of the waste. Throwing out fruit and vegetables has stopped! A tad pricey but worth it for me personally. The convenience of the hand held vaccume sealer brilliant. Charged it once 3weeks ago and still going! Buy it, you won't be disappointed

First off, I was a little worried about some of the more recent reviews about this item not sealing or keeping a seal, so I almost didn't get it...but when I looked at alternative options, I didn't see anything that stood out value-wise, particularly b/c I was looking for glass storage dishes instead of plastic. I took a leap of faith, and have been really happy so far. Like the title says, I bought this kit chiefly for the glass dishes/lids, not the bags, so I can't rate them yet. Why focus on the dishes, you say? I do a lot of batch food prep on the Sundays for the week, and put foods in ready-to-heat/eat state in the fridge that I can grab all week, and the glass dishes are perfect for that. The down side is, not all things last equally in the fridge, and produce can be the worst. Cut/prepped veggies/fruits, steamed/blanched veggies, pasta or grain salads, etc. will rarely make it to Friday and it's so frustrating. So I bought this to see if I could carve out some extra freshness/shelf life. I tried it with a big bag of lightly steamed broccoli that I made Monday night, just to see if it'd get that sulfur/gassy smell over time when reheated. I stuck it in the larger dish, had no trouble sealing it, and it made it through a week of mixing into things like fried rice, serving as a side, etc. I was very pleasantly surprised, so I bought a few more of the dishes so I could keep on prepping. Unlike Apple products, it doesn't come out of the box with a charge already, so I unboxed it and set it on the charger all night. I used it multiple times in the week after, and had no issues/need to recharge. Though the container and lids are dishwasher/microwave (without seal)/ and oven safe, I have zero desire to expose the lids to those elements, b/c I can't see how that wouldn't accelerate the seals wearing down over time. Really excited to see how this handles casserole and stew leftovers this fall! I'll get around to trying the bags soon. If they don't hold up well, no loss, I just won't replace them. It's the containers I wanted more anyway. :)

So far I've used it almost exclusively on cheese, and it seems to me that it takes a while longer for my cheese to get moldy. I don't often keep cheese in the refrigerator long enough for that to be a problem, though, so I can't be sure that it's actually helping. It comes with instructions to press down on the center of the port on the plastic bag or lid when the device stops. So far that doesn't seem to accomplish anything - nothing happens when I do that, and nothing seems to be any different if I don't bother to do it.

This Zwilling sealer glass container and bags are grand. I use daily.

This is my first product review in my life in such detail. It worked only less than 50 times in 4monthes. It is fully charged, but the pump is on only 1 sec. then it stops. After that, it does not turn on at all unless put on the charging stand and take it off. Then, of course, turn it on for 1 sec. only. I called Zwilling Customer Service for warranty support. I should return it, they should have it on their hand for the replacement shipping --- Yes I understand, I am not complaining. But, It will take 6 or more weeks to get the replacement. I decided to give up the replacement and I will buy another brand one because of the following reasons. I bought this vacuum pump because the design is the best in the market. Also, I trust the ZWILLING brand.. I was curious about what happened on the pump. I opened the pump to see inside. It seemed like The Electronic board failed. There some green stains on C1, U2, and R6.. - It is just my guess. I am not sure what was wrong frankly. The battery is 4.17V.. The Electronics can be failed..not a big deal. But, why the components are stained and the R6 top surface is pilled off?? However, the most serious issue to me is sucking the liquid into it and rotten inside. The liquid from the food may not avoid. I believe there are tons of germs on it. It cannot be cleaned. It's my personal opinion, but it will not be good for food handling. I think it is better to have a removable/washable reservoir at the suction inlet. I wish ZWILLING consider this and improve the design. This is the reason why I write this review. Thank you

I like this device with a few exceptions. I have a Food Saver Vacuum Sealer which I've used for years. It works great, but is difficult on occasion to get a seal which is frustrating. Although you can reuse the bags until they are finally cut too short to reuse. There is an ongoing cost of having to replace the bags. That is where the Fresh and Save is handy, which makes it easier to reuse the bags. Also the Fresh and Save takes up a lot less space and is easier to use and handier. But there is two really severe issues to deal with. First this device can not really be used to marinate food, as the liquid gets sucked up into the device even using the attachments to prevent that. If you have dissolved a sugar type marinate is can really very quickly damage the device. Second if you have herbs and spices that can easily clog the device as well. I know they advertise the device to be able to do it, it also and the same time says not to let the liquid enter the device, which is almost impossible to prevent. I have had to replace mine twice so far, because of the amount of suction, it can draw liquid out of solid food stuffs, like garlic. So caution has to be taken when sealing certain items that are solid but contain moisture inside them. Also the flaps on the bags are very short, which makes it impossible to open the bags once they have been sealed. Also if your hands are wet it only makes the situation worse. I think the it's an obvious problem with their bags and they should fix it. If you have the liquid too high in the glass or plastic rigid containers, but still clear of the cover, the suction can still draw the liquid up into the devices. So be sure to fill the containers well below the lid. After having to replace the device, it makes for an expensive lesson. Another than those two major problems the device is pretty good. I use it all the time.

Ya había tenido otra bomba Swilling, pero esta tiene mucho mejor aspecto y además viene con contenedores muy útiles.

2 of the large vacuum bags spoilt and can’t be vacuumed. There was no replacement made to us.
