These bottle caps were designed by homebrewers for homebrewers. The Oxygen scavenging liner helps to keep your beer tasting fresh while extending it's shelf live. The oxygen scavengers are activated once wet. It is recommend to use a sanitizer like Star San and only wet just before bottling. Do not try to reuse bottle caps that have been exposed to liquid. They actually work
Unlike some of the cheaper brands I have used, these caps actually work. I have never had any issues with them and they also look great. Spend the extra few dollars and get these caps. It will save you from having to dump a homebrew because the cap didn't seal.
