Just takes some practice.
EDIT: I was disappointed with this produce at first but the more she worked with it, the easier it got. She just needed to get the hang of it. Changing my review from ⭐⭐⭐ to ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. My daughter is currently using it for the first time abs it's not working out well. The (fettuccini) noodles aren't separating properly and it's just generally awkward and difficult to use.

Terrible and defective product
A terrible and defective product. The spring that holds the vegetable against the blade is too strong and when twisting the handle to cut the vegetable, the vegetable will not move against the blade and the part inserted into the vegetable just twists and breaks the vegetable apart. This product has very, very, very sharp blades and when handling it and trying to pull the spring-loaded blade back to insert the vegetable it is too dangerous even with the ridiculous and ineffective "safety cover" supplied. This is just a hospital trip waiting to happen and a useless and dangerous product. I do not recommend it at all. Buyer beware!!

Awesome slicer for zucchini lasagna noodles
Worked exactly how it should on the first try! Not sure how long it will last. Made lasagna noodles from zucchini. Fantastic item for a gluten free kitchen.

Peeling first is critical
My first attempt using this was complete failure. I tried making sheets of a zucchini and the knob just shredded the zucchini and it cut nothing. The second time I peeled the zucchini and it was amazing. It just peeled off sheets of zucchini. Once you know how to use it, it's a wonderful tool if you want to reduce pasta but love "pasta like" dishes. Made wonderful cannelloni. The the product is 5 stars; the instructions are 2 stars.

You get what you pay for
The Vasta 2-in-1 does the job but takes a little effort. You have to make sure the fruit/vegetable fits perfectly on the blade. Once on, it does a decent job of slicing, some of the noodle slices may have be separated by hand afterwards. The entire thing is plastic so don't expect much. And be careful, prongs are sharp.

Easy to use.
The Vasta sheet slicer is a game changer! I first did sheets of apples to make PB&J Roll-Ups then tried zucchini sheets. Apples were very easy, but struggled at first with the zucchini. After a try or two, it was a breeze. The recipes online are amazing (that’s where I got the ideas I made). The kit comes with a pasta blade too so you can make “Vasta”. The clean up is just as easy as the use. I can see this being used a lot. Moving towards healthier eating!

Take others advice and steer clear of this device... Here is my input.
I had such high hopes for this. Despite the number negative reviews I thought I'd give it a try because ...after all this is Amazon and they'll return it. I bought it primarily to use on zucchini since I had a bumper crop this year. Here are the issues I encountered. 1. It takes some cumbersome manipulation to load the zucchini. The blade needs to be moved out of the way and locked. But the plastic blade guard would not stay on the blade. I did not cut myself this time but it would be easy to do if I used it a lot. 2. The "easy grip" handle consists of a bunch of blades that stick into the end of the zucchini. Those blades are also very sharp and they stick into only the seedy center of my large and medium size zucchinis. 3. You pull a little lock and release the blade against the zucchini and try to turn the handle and the only thing that happens is that handle turns inside the center of the zucchini and rips out all the guts at the end, so now you have no leverage to turn with. 4. So on to another zucchini... This one was a bit smaller in diameter with handle positioned on the stem end. Still, the spring in the blade is so strong that when you release it, it digs into the zucchini so hard that it stops it from turning. You can try to start it by putting your hand in the middle of the device and turning the zucchini itself but then you risk cutting yourself on the blade. Again...guts gone, no leverage. I did not try this on a zucchini of small diameter because I want large sheets like in the pictures. It might work on a small diameter uniform width zucchini. Probably would have to peel it first...which is why the pics don't show peel on the zucchini. In Synopsis... This thing does not work well on med & large zucchini. Which makes this device totally useless as far as I'm concerned. Anyone with a garden knows it's very difficult to get small zucchini... I only bought it to try something new with my bigger ones....the pictures were so convincing !

Not able to handle large vegetables
I bought this device to specifically make noodles with rutabaga. After having trouble making it with a KitchenAid vegetable sheet cutter, I decided to try this, but sadly it is a miserable failure. Firstly it is too small to handle the size of a large vegetable or fruit like a rutabaga, secondly, the grip handle crushes the vegetable, rather than gripping it, with the effect that it just spins the fruit without actually allowing the blade to cut the vegetable. It is a cheap product and you get what you pay for. I doubt I will even ever try to sheet cut any other fruit or vegetable with it, so basically a waste of money.
