How does the weight stay on the bat? It looks like it will slide off easily.

On most bats, it slides up on to the bat and stays on when the bat is swung. On SOME of the two piece bats, the way it is made, it will not let it slide up as far and it is loose. It could come off of these bats. It is not all of the two piece bats just some of them!

Will this fit any make of bat ?

Yes! I have it on my boys 2 3/4 big barrel. So It will fit any barrel.

They don't provide a lot of info or pics. Where on the bat does this fit, and can you truly hit balls with it on the bat without it interfering?

It goes on down by the handle grip and slides up to where the barrel starts. Yes you can hit balls with it on , during batting practice ONLY! It was great for my grandson when he was going to a heaver weighted bat. He would have it on during batting practice then at the end he would take it off and it made the bat fill lighter. It helped him to get adjusted to the weight of the new bat . I think it works GREAT for him! He still use it off and on! He has had his for 3 or 4 years.

Will this help adults and fit softball bats also or is it made for youths?
