yum - a little dry and texture is crumbly, but still delicious (if you like Halvah which has a unique taste and texture). The bars are big; I'd prefer one half the size to be one serving. Instead I eat an entire bar which I don't need. Joya Halva was always a special treat when I was a kid, so it's nostalgic, but as sweets go, it's relatively healthy (compared to a candy bar). The only Halvah that I had that was better was bought in a market stall in Qatar. That Halva was very fresh asd moist, sliced easily without crumbling, and had a very smooth texture.

I found two packages out of 36 that were open and threw them away. When I started opening the other packages I found that most were rotten. I'm very familiar with this halvah and it's great, but not if it's rotten, obviously. I wouldn't buy it again from this seller. I did contact Amazon and they issued a refund even though the product was no returnable.

I like Halva, and for an indiv wrapped product, I like them well enough. Price, quantity & quality. Everyone would prob like "just 1 more bite" of any treat, but I think these are quite perfectly sized... that said, its probably a very large portion if normally consumed in just 2-3 bites in polite society. I got Marbled (red pkg). If you've never had this before, dont be fooled by a "chocolate" description... they are very faintly flavored. ****If you have had halva before, then they are exactly what you'd expect, and not too sweet. Several commented on them being greasy. So, the oil helps the treat not stick to the inside of the wrapper. But, yeah, they're not each sealed super great either... so the outside of the wrapper or even the box can be a little greasy. The treats themselves are a little messy on thier surface, but I did not think it was slimy or weird when actually eating them... the oil orobably helped since halva could be a little dry, but they are the traditional texture. I told my officemates that halva is a bit like biting into a freeze dried marshmallow, moreso than (as halva is always decribed) like a "fudge" ... fudge sounds far too soft or creamy or pliable compared to halva. I'm curious about the pistachio variety, but dont want a box full. Wish there was a variety pack. GF, dairy free, processed in a plant w nuts. Caution: egg allergy. Research shows its a New York Company. Will probably shop them again, and explore all thier options.

I like Joyva halvah and I enjoy the 1.75 oz size. Many of my friends had never tasted halvah and when I give them a tiny piece to taste they invariably ask for more. Joyva has been making halvah since 1907 in Brooklyn New York City

I have been a fan of Joyva Halvah ever since I was a teenager in Chicago. Most of the time I would get the chocolate covered Halvah bars, but I also love the marble flavor. I recently purchased a big box of 36 Joyva Halvah 1.75 ounce bars on Amazon for a bargain price. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly they arrived and I immediately ate three of the bars which were fresh and delicious. I have discovered over the years that halvah is an acquired taste and that many people do not like this Mideast sesame treat. In fact, it is not always easy finding this product in most stores and this is why I have ordered them on Amazon. Overall these are decent. But unlike traditional halvah, they are melted and oily when you open them up. I'm going to try putting them in the fridge, but I doubt that will help. Also, I got the marble ones, but there isn't a lot of marbling in them. They seem just plain flavored to me.
