Came packaged securely in a resealable bag. Use it in soups and curries. Even has a fab rich scent that blends in with sauces and gravies. A definite must whenever I cook stews, Japanese curries, and roasts.

I needed this for a vegetable soup, and it added just the right rich, savory flavor. The recipe said to buy dried porcini and put them in a food processor to make the powder, so this saved me an extra step (and one less kitchen appliance to clean). Very good!

Wonderful stuff. Absolutely delicious. This and other high quality mushroom products can deliver the most power-packed pleasantness.But I'm deducting a star for the inadequate packaging. The ziplock bag was an advance in civilization when it first appeared 60 years ago, but its time has come and gone. Such bags inevitably fail, sometimes immediately, as in this case. I'm not the only one to comment on this. There are plastic bags with velcro-like closures now. I'm sure they're a few pennies more, but this is an expensive product and customers will pay the tiny difference to help insure sustained freshness. Some might say "Just use a bag clip", but that's beside the point and doesn't excuse the shortcoming.

I was very happy to find this product available. It makes a delicious seasoning for special dishes.

This product is exceptional for making vegetarian gravy have a perfect taste and nice brown color. It is worth the price to have the nutrition and it adds the best possible flavor.
