These claw clips are robust and work well, with good, strong springs. My hair is long and quite thick: one clip held my hair very well. My only reservation is that I wish the clips were available in richer, more interesting colours..

Considering they were not expensive they are strong, my hair is quite long and I prefer putting it up , it stays tidy all day. I like the colour because it goes with everything and it looks nice .

true tortoise (for some reason, I'm finding that hard to come by lately and ending up with, like, brown plastic or leopard print plastic) and very sturdy and thick celluloid plastic (not sure if it's true celluloid but it looks and feels like it) and one of the more comfortable shapes for my thick, long hair - I can use one to keep a messy bun up for hours before re-setting for comfort. We'll see how long the springs last, but they feel very well made, so I'm hopeful. I tend to break clips every few months including so-called "nicer" brands (ahem kitsch and scunchi) and am always on the lookout for sturdier but pretty offerings.
