Clips on easily, takes good pictures, all as advertised. The only thing to be aware of is that the depth of field (eg. on my iPhone 11) is quite short. This is nice for blurring of backgrounds but it makes taking photos of active things (like insects) hard sometimes. The image is also only in focus for a small range of distances (although as specified), so if eg. a flower is too large then it cannot be photographed.

Amazing!!! Just get it now👌 I am a nail technician, and was looking for that lens so I can get juicy videos and pictures. And guess what I found it! Value for money? 💯

We have persevered with this but it’s just not up to the task. It’s been tried on an iPhone 8 Plus and an iPhone 11 with similarly disappointing results. It allows you to get a shot that renders the subject only about twice as big as without the lens - a waste of time when the same is possible with modest cropping. The other major flaw is that the lens is in a slider and is only kept still by pressure on the phone lens so if your phone has any kind of case, the macro lens is not against the phone and therefore just slides around so is practically impossible to keep it in place to actually take a picture. A total waste of nearly £50. Save your money and buy something else instead

Nice macro lens. Solid build, good magnification and resolution. Packaging was poor but item arrived safely. Annoyingly it won't fit properly over my camera lens with the phone case on. This might not be true for slimmer phone cases but it means whenever I want to use it I have to take the case off which is fiddly and increases the risk of me breaking my phone. On the whole, however, I am happy with my purchase.

On phone without macro works really well. Suggest placing the grip first then aligning the lens for best results..

Amazing macro shots on a phone. Good bit of kit.

I just cannot get a sharp macro photo. I think this is partly because the instruction leaflet is poor. I just cannot get a macro photo of plants no matter how many adjustments I make to my phone Much more detailed advice on using it is necessary. The quality of build is good. I cannot improve on the built-in macro on my phone camera. It is disappointing.

I bought this excellent value for money lens as I’ve recently become interested in macro photography. I think it’s great as a starter. I have an iPhone 11 and it works fine with that. I enjoy taking photos of insects from my garden and this lens has definitely enhanced my experience. My family and friends are amazed at the detail in the photos.

Muy contento con la lente Apexel para móvil. Es muy fácil de colocar y utilizar, y mejora bastante las posibilidades de la cámara del teléfono. La calidad de las imágenes es muy buena para el tamaño y el precio que tiene, además de ser cómoda para llevar a cualquier sitio. For the price, I am not sure that you could get a better accessory for macro photography with the iPhone for the price. The photos that I have attached were taken with the iPhone 15 Pro Max using Halide with the APPLEPRORAW setting in macro mode with auto-focus. Other than the processing that would be done on the phone with those settings, I made no changes to the photos myself except for cropping. These photos were taken on the day I received the lens and in cloudy to partly-cloudy conditions. Note that the ants and smaller bees in these photos would be measured in cm not even mm. The brown-belted bumblebee is on swamp milkweed flowers, the furrow bees on purple cone flower and hawkweed (Heriacium sp.), and the ants on clustered mountain mint and lace-leaf coreopsis. The ones on the mountain mint were absolutely tiny. As you can see from the photos, the clarity and results it produced were great. I am just a guy with an iPhone and a large to medium sized native plant garden. I don't have any experience or training as a photographer let alone in macro photography. I am having an absolute ball taking photos and documenting the insects and plants in my garden and I am sure I'm already annoying my wife showing her every tiny little bug or new discovery about the plants. I have no idea, for example, that the tiny flowers on clustered mountain mint had small purple spots on them. If you enjoy taking pictures of small things with you phone, you will absolutely love using this lens. I am also not sure you can beat the price. I was a bit skeptical about using this but now I can't wait to try some other lenses. Do keep in mind that you will probably have to remove your case. I am not sure if they sell a phone case that is compatible or not.
