What is the difference between grade a and b beans?

Grade A beans contain more moisture. They are good for cooking and baking because they readily give up their flavor. Grade B are more concentrated (purer) and they're better suited for vanilla extract and sugar.

Is this fair trade vanilla?

I don't know what that means, but it you're looking for fragrant, flavorful vanilla, look elsewhere. The vanilla I got from them was terrible.
