Paul Mitchell Dry Wax, Long-Lasting Hold, Matte Finish, For All Hair Types, 1.8 oz

Been using Paul Mitchell Dry Wax for nearly 20 years to protect my hairstyle from frizz (and add a little hold) without the oily, greasy, or shiny look and feel of other products designed for frizz control. It's especially a lifesaver on humid days or when sweating. While I've occasionally been curious enough to try similar, newer products from other brands, I find that nothing else compares to this, and I always go right back to it. Plus this product is EXTREMELY cost effective compared to oily frizz-control products, which don't last long before needing to repurchase. A little bit of Dry Wax rubbed onto the fingers goes a long way. From trial and error, I've learned that I prefer a very tiny amount, even smaller than the size of a dime for my hair. Each jar lasts me close to two years. And using this product does NOT cause your hair to look waxy... UNLESS you want it to. It all depends on how much you use. For frizz-control, only a very tiny amount is needed. As a BONUS: this product does not have a strong scent at all. It's pleasant and very light, especially once applied to the hair. I feel like whatever light scent it does have initially, once applied quickly wears off, which is great since I don't like smelling like hair products.

Love love love this stuff. LASTS a long time, washes out easy and doesn't weigh down your hair. I have baby fine hair. This gives me volume AND texture where I want it and STAYS without the weigh down. I was using 'Bumble' I was given trying to make it work but that was too heavy for my hair and made it look blah, weighed down and STICKY. NOT this Have always used Paul Mitchel Dry wax and happy to have it back in my hands😍 I highly recomend 1000 out of 100. Smells good as always very nice, clean

My absolute go to for hair wax. I have fine, brittle hair and this does the job to style my hair. Non greasy and super easy to wash out at the end of the day. Super affordable too! Not much of a scent and very lightweight which is what I like.

Not really crazy about this product. I know it is supposed to be wacky, but this is very sticky and very hard. It’s difficult to get it onto your hair and avoid clumping. You really have to manhandle it and let the warmth of your hands soften it up. It’s an OK product. Not sure I would purchase it again though.

I have used this hair wax for many years. I’ve tried other brands but I always return to this one. I have very thick, straight hair that is cut short with lots of long layers. This hair wax keeps the “floaty hairs” locked down, and keeps everything looking sleek. When I run my fingers through the layers, they lay perfectly with a little help from the wax. I only use about a pea size and rub it all over my warm hands to help it melt. It says it has a firm hold and it does. I have used this for years and I thought it was discontinued because Ulta stopped carrying it, I was so happy to find it on Amazon. I hope that Paul Mitchell never stops making it! When I thought it was discontinued, I tried some other brands and was very disappointed. There is nothing like this hair wax.

I have very hard to deal with hair ! This is an Absolutely wonderful product! I used it years ago and thought it was a thing if the past until I discovered it on Amazon and great as always. Arrived in like 2 days - Highly recommend & order thru Amazon. ❤️

This isn’t pomade, it’s waterproof wax. I put a pinky tip finger amount in my hair and it made my hair look like it was oily and hadn’t been washed in days. I hated it so much I took a shower after a full business day of having it in my hair. It didn’t come out. It’s like I put marine wax in my hair that is 100% waterproof or something. I washed my hair four times. Still feels like it’s there. Three days after use and I still am not sure it’s all out yet. When I say this is the worst pomade I have ever used, I mean it quite literally. This isn’t an emotional rant of rage… it’s a factual post about this insanely bad hair product. I love Paul Mitchell products so I am shocked this is as bad as it is. I literally used a finger tip of it and threw it away. Unless I needed to patch my river waders, tent or seal up a boat — probably the only things this waterproof wax is good for — I had zero desire to ever put this on my head again. Hundreds of better products out there. Steer clear of this one.

Was skeptical about ordering this from here because all the health and beauty projects that are fakes aren’t easily identifiable and they are certainly plentiful on here. But we couldn’t find this in the salon we got it from the first time and took a chance. We still had a bit left in the first one and closely compared them and I’m telling you, if it’s a fake, then it’s a damn good fake. There is not one single difference between this one and the one we bought at the salon. Smells the same, same packaging, texture’s the same, and same end results when used. It’s great stuff and some of the handiest hair fixer upper to keep around if you have chronic flyaways. One thing is though, I recommend having a special wash rag or towel to wipe off of your hands or head because it doesn’t come off with dish soap or anything. Actually, just wear gloves and skip the hassle of scrubbing your hands for 10 minutes...
