Great little rod

I have just bought 2 more of these giving me a total of six. They are really very well built and the action of the 2 piece ones is surprisingly close to the sensitivity of the single piece rod.One thing that someone needs to fix right away is the method of packing on the single piece rods. One was so broken the Amazon driver wouldn't even deliver it and completed the return/crediting for me (more great service Amazon). The second one was delivered a different day and the tip was completely crushed. The reason in both cases is that the "packaging" was simply a cellophane or plastic wrapping which the poles poked right through and didn't add any form of protection during shipping.

I have been losing alot of larger Coho's at the boat/on top. I found the tip of other rods are too stiff for my style. Yes, we all are different on the rod when we land. This rod has just enough backbone to pull in 10-15lbs Puget Sound Coho's. The tip is extremely reactive, but not a bag of noodles. My buddy never loses a fish right next to me and he's got a stiffer rod. Some people have real skills landing fish, but not me.I am running the 7' MH. I am a little too aggressive on the rod and this rod works well for me. The rod bends well when the Coho does it's infamous flopping on the surface. Do let the drag out just a little when you pull in a larger fish or else you'll end up like me with a broken knot at the lure/spoon.Hope this helps, have a good fishing day.

I had the rod for 32 days and the tip broke off. Of course it was just out of the Amazon return window, so I contacted Berkley through Amazon and the won't respond to me.

I've had this rod for about a week and have fished with it for roughly 5 hours. I've caught Northern Pike and Largemouth bass with it. For the money I think this is a decent rod. I bought the 6'6" Medium Light rod and it feels good in the hand, is sensitive enough to clearly feel hits and weeds alike. I've thrown spinnerbaits as well as plastic jigs. The tip might not be as quick as I'd like but for $29 I'm very happy with this rod dagger the first 5 hours.

Perfect rod for its price pointIt’s not a professional rod but it does perform very well and isn’t cheaply made in my honest experience of 35 years of fishingI fish about 60-70 days a year fresh and salt and break many rods so buying a high end rod isn’t economically feasibleI break them mostly because I just put them in the back of the truck and sometimes gets crunched and or I drop them after drinking a 30 pack of miller lights and blacking out in a pool of my own urine

Posting a good photo of a fishing rod is tough. I got this rod on sale for under $22.00. I paired it with a Vintage Penn 4300ss. The combo is perfect. The rod is excellent for working light artificial baits and has great feedback. It is lightweight and perfectly balanced. The handle is well made and provides excellent grip. I am very picky about my fishing gear so I was skeptical about the value for the price. It has exceeded my expectations.

Nice UL rod. Good action for casting 1/16 oz and lighter lures for which my Fenwick UL is too stiff. And the cherry red color is a plus too since you're going to be looking at it all day, no way around that. For completeness its probably best to have this one plus a stiffer one for 1/4 ounce metal etc. Doesn't break the bank.
