If you want a cheap, flimsy, piece of junk, buy this shelf
This unit is very flimsy and poorly constructed. First of all, the slats were supposed to be attached to the shelves, but on one of the shelves, almost every slat was loose or not attached at all. I made the decision not to return this unit, due to the hassle factor, and to use wood glue to glue them back in place. Then the shelves themselves are very flimsy--the two halves of each shelf are attached with a hinge that looks like it is going to break any minute now (which I had to tighten because they weren't screwed in tightly, either). If I had seen how flimsy the final product was, I would have just returned it. If I can save you the hassle, buy something else.

Poor Quality Control, Good Product
I was excited to add this to my entryway for my shoes. Got it on time and pulled it out of the box only to discover one half of a rack was falling apart. At first I thought it was because it was supposed to do that and would snap back together. Wrong, quality control forgot to make sure it was glued together. I put the pieces back together and secured with some wood glue. Waited 24 hours for glue to set and then started to put it together. Quality control failed again by not ensuring enough screws, I was one shy. Thankfully I had some screws that would match well enough and was able to put the product together. I’m not saying I wouldn’t buy this again, but beware, you might have to do more than just a little assembly. Finished product was exactly what I hoped for.

Easy & Sturdy
This is really easy to assemble and is pretty sturdy. I bought mine for outside. Because of COVID we’ve been taking our shoes off after work and leaving them outside. I wanted something to place the shoes on rather than just leaving them on the floor. I also like that it’s bamboo and not plastic.

Decent Little Rack
Overall I think this is a good little rack. I'm using it for shoes, but I may order another one for potted plants. It looks great! One thing I didn't expect was that the shelves come folded in half with little hinges on the underside. The hinges are a little stiff so the shelf doesn't lay perfectly flat when opened. This isn't an issue for me because the shoes are heavy and hold it down, but if I was going to use this shelf for something lightweight, it could be a problem until the hinges relax a little (screwing the shelves into the legs does help.)One other minor issue is that one of the legs had some wood splintering off. I think that probably just speaks to how inexpensive this item is and the quality control. But it was not a big deal and doesn't affect the usage. It is sturdy when put together and is holding my shoes nicely. I previously had an annoying shoe rack that constantly fell over and fell apart all the time. This one is much nicer and much sturdier. Overall I would order this again and recommend it.

Poor construction makes assembly difficult (or impossible)
My product had 3 issues with it (not just 1).First, one of the pre-drilled holes for the screws was only about 2-3mm deep, instead of deep enough for the screw. Which is a major problem when they are allen tool screws with a flat head - meaning twice-over that you cannot force them down into un-drilled wood.Second, one of the rack shelves was improperly aligned (they fold out, which is an unnecessary point of potential failure on the product - just imagine putting a random hinge on the bottom of your desk that, if it breaks/bends, could dump everything on the desk down to the ground in a crash). Paired with this poor alignment, one of the screws holding a hinge was completely unusable because the hole it was in had been over-drilled (or over-screwed) to the point where the screw could slide in and out.Third (as if the first 2 weren't bad enough), the screws provided are all ultra-cheap, and arrived with defects in the metal, making them highly prone to snapping under any mild cross pressure. Considering all 8 screws are mounted horizontally and will be under regular pressure every time you put shoes on this rack, that seems to be an incredibly poor decision.

My Shoe Graveyard is Organized
These are fantastic. I love that they are lightweight and so easy to stack. I used them to organize my front closet and everyone's shoes that they take off when they enter the house. The construction is sturdy and they are easy to assemble. They are good for holding all shoes, even heels.

Does the job well and creates more space for shoes
Ok first look, I thought “how could I put this thing together?” Reason for that was because I thought the instructions were not as easy and pictured slightly confusing. I was able to figure it out and did put it together. I’m still at a loss why these metal things would be put on it in the middle (if you do get this, you’ll know what I’m talking about). Other than that, it looks strong and balanced. It created more space in my closed and I was able to tack numerous shoes on it without any issues. More taller shoes will not fit in the middle part of it, so take note of that. Overall, very good.

Terrible
I hate to do this, but this shoe rack is absolutely horrendous quality. It came misaligned, with the hinges starting to rust. When set up, the legs are uneven so it's wobbly. It uses an allen key and screws, which is annoying in itself, and because of the misalignment or something every turn produces a horrible squeaking noise. Worst of all, the stain on the "wood" (maybe real bamboo maybe not) comes right off and in about 2 minutes of use got on my hands, stained my walls, and probably would've stained my shoes if I had actually put any on it before sending this thing right back.
