The Acropolis (Archaeological Guides)

Excellent book despite the age.
As the title implies, this book covers the Acropolis only, and doesn't speak to the Agora or others. It does go in detail into the history of the Acropolis, the mythology, and then focuses on the architecture and artwork. This book discusses the sculptures in considerably more detail than the other books in the series. It's several decades old, but the Acropolis hasn't changed much since the 80s; the only real impact is that this dates to before the new Acropolis museum was built.

A great reference for a great trip
After visiting the Acropolis last year, this book provides a good overview of the site and its history.
