Behringer 150 RING MOD/NOISE/S&H/LFO Legendary Analog Ring Modulator/Noise/S&H/LFO Module for Eurorack

I have one of these. For the avoidance of doubt I'm talking about the Behringer 150 ring mod / S&H. Its a handy utility module that's part of their Roland System 100M clone range. I bought it mainly for the sample & hold, but as a bonus it has a noise generator, plus an LFO - the same type, same functionality as the Behringer 140's LFO - plus ring mod, and you can use it as a clock generator. It takes up a lot of space, but it's a versatile thing that can replace a couple of other modules. The LFO is particularly flexible, with a delay trigger, an attenuator, two outputs, an inverted output, different shapes, and modulate-able frequency. As with the other Roland 100M modules the sliders feel a bit cheap, and yet I've had mine for over a year and it's still in tip-top condition. Bad stuff? The internal lock has an odd range - fast to very fast, but not slow. The continually blinking clock LED gets on my nerves. It can be externally clocked though.

I now have the full collection of the 100m modules and they make me want to use my modular more than ever. I've always wanted the original Roland, but they're simply way too expensive, I have DIY'd some of the 100m modules in the past, but the part-cost alone (without taking the build time into account) is on par with a fully built unit, the Behringer versions have a really good finish too - way better looking than the Roland 500 series in my opinion. Each of my shelves is 168HP, which fits all units in (minus the 110 which is just cut down vesrions of what is already available in other modules). Aesthetically pleasing with a great build quality, especially for the money. Behringer are doing a wonderful job of bringing what have always been exuberantly overpriced modules affordable to the consumer, About time the other major players started to do the same. Keep up the great work, Behringer!

It's a simple couple of modules. The ring mod is nothing special. The noise outs are... Noise. Useful having 2 of each. The LFO is handy, ranges well and has the x1 / x100 output selector as well as positive and inverted out. And the sample and hold is a sample and hold.

Módulo muy funcional en cualquier sistema eurorack y además económico!

The 150 is a great utility module including a ring modulator, two types of noise, a sample and hold and another of many LFOs in this series. All the little doodads work fine. So far, outside of trying them out, I’ve mostly used the LFO and noise. The sample & hold takes some getting used to and as for the ring modulator, I get similar if not better of the same and more from the Bode frequency shifter. Overall, this is a well-built and stable module. Highly recommended.
