Happy that this product is available
I have been using this product like for about a month and I have been pleased so far. I had to deal with terrible cystic acne during my early twenties and had to take Accutane. My face was free of acne during 2 to 3 years but recently I have been dealing with pimples in specific areas on my face (chin and forehead) but they can't be compared to the cystic acne I had years ago. So I started to try acne products from local stores. At first they disappeared my pimples quickly but then they lost their efficacy. I decided to find other remedies online until I found out about the regime from acne.org. I wanted to buy their products from their website but had issues with their checkout process that did not got resolved (seems that they don't ship to my country)until I found an alternative on amazon which is this product from Dr. Song. I cannot compare it to Acne.org Benzoyl Peroxide because I have never tried it but I like it so much better than other brands from local stores. What I like the most is that it dries very quickly after putting it on my face and doesn't leave a white residue or leaves my skin flaky. I can wear makeup on top of it. I do use a moisturizer after letting it dry. I use Cetaphil products to clean and moisturizer but I am looking for other natural/organic products with less harmful ingredients. I use this product twice a day (morning and night). I cannot say this is a miracle product that is going to make my acne disappear forever. The type of acne I have to deal with is related to hormones, stress and diet so acne is something that is not going to go away at this point of my life but I think this product disappears my pimples quicker and keeps my face under control. I do take natural supplements such as Zinc and Omega-3 Fish Oil once in a while and I am thinking of taking a little bit of Vitamin B5 during those days of the month. Also green tea can be helpful. It's good to to treat your body from the inside and out but also take those supplements properly. I suggest you to buy this product and follow the regimen from Acne.org I think this product is worth it for the price and quality. I hope it stays available for a long time.

Amazing Lotion. Doesn't overdry and gets the job done.
I bought this because I was sick of buying three piece sets just to use the lotion out of them. I have had moderate acne in my late 20's and have recently started reading more into what causes my problems. I would often have cystic acne which was painful and unsightly. After learning that I was likely washing my face too much (only twice a day) which was causing my dry skin and then over production of oils, I decided to make a change to my regime. I started slowly shifting into not washing my face and rather just rinsing it in the shower breifly in the morning and before going to bed at night. At the same time I shifted to only using Benzoyl Peroxide lotion for my Acne prevention along with cetaphil lotion for when my face was really dry. After buying set after set after set of 3 piece combos I decided it was time to research into buying just the lotion which is kindof hard to find for some reason. Anyways I came upon this lotion and read some good reviews and pulled the trigger on it and haven't looked back. The lotion is 2.5% compared with the 10% I was using and I have to say the results are outstanding (my face isn't dried out and it feels "normal") After using this for around 3-4 weeks I no longer get cystic acne, my face isn't dried out, my eyebrows aren't bleached (bad experience with Target 3 piece kit), and I finally am no longer embarrassed to go out in public. One of the best parts about switching my regime was that I no longer feel like I need to wash my face throughout the day as my face is no longer oily. The lotion itself goes on smooth and absorbed within a half a minute after applying. I don't normally go out of my way to write a review but I was reluctant to buy this because I wasn't sure of what results I would get and I was pleasantly surprised. Dr. Song's is the real deal, I highly recommend this product as I will be a repeat customer for sure.

A topical acne cream that ACTUALLY WORKS!
When my prescription acne cream was no longer covered by insurance, I tried every natural remedy known to man to heal my painful, cystic acne. In the past, no non-prescription topicals have worked for me, so I spent the last year trying natural remedies, none which seemed to work. As a last resort, I decided I was going to try Dr. Song’s topical cream, since it was one I had never tried.... and I am SO grateful I did. I wanted to try it out for a full month before leaving a review, and let me just say that my skin hasn’t looked this clear since I was using the prescription topical cream. It cleared up every single bit of cystic acne, and I’ve only had a couple small break outs since, but nothing cystic. It does tend to be drying, but I apply my moisturizer after this cream dries so that takes care of that issue. It even is 100% fine to use under makeup which i appreciate because I always had to use my prescription cream at night only or else it would cause my face to look strangely textured. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for something that actually works! I will DEFINITELY be purchasing this again (although I was extremely impressed by the MASSIVE size of this bottle which will last me a very long time!)

Great alternative to acne.org's stuff
I've used the 2.5% BP gel from acne.org for many years, and it has kept my acne in check, for the most part, without drying out my skin too much. I wanted to try this because it's more affordable and because I like change, especially after so long using the same product. :) I like the texture -- a little thicker than the acne.org stuff, which took ages to dry on my face. This requires less time to set. However, it has a weird tacky stage...can't rub it in any more, but hasn't quite dried. I tried putting moisturizer on top during this tacky stage (a la "The Regimen"), and it really didn't work. You need to wait until this stuff is fully dry before moisturizing. I don't wear much/any face makeup (foundation, powder, etc.), so I can't comment on whether or not this plays nice with those. However, I use concealer under my eyes and on the sides of my nose, plus either cream or powder blush. No troubles with those so far. This doesn't flake off during the day. The point of BP gel is to keep the spots away, and using a good amount every morning & night, it's doing the job. Minus the weird tacky feel, it's great. Will buy again.

I recommend Dr. Song for sure.
I have been prone to deep, cystic acne for 20+ years. I discovered that poor nutrition, harsh soaps/scrubs, and too-strong medical acne treatments were making it worse. Improving diet and backing away from overly cleansing products helped a lot, but it was hard to find a "gentle" acne medicine that worked well, and was cost effective. (They either were too weak, or the cost per ounce was RE-diculous.) I love Dr Song. Here's why... 1) No "medicinal smell" (or any smell at all, I think. Other reviewers note a scent, but I don't sense any.) 2) No residue once product has been applied, and has saturated into skin. (Other topical creams I tried sometimes left a weird (and embarrassing), dried-on white film on the skin. This one doesn't for me.) 3) Not heavy. The cream is thick, however it doesn't feel "cakey" or "skin-tight" in any way after it is absorbed in. 4) Non-drying. 2.5% appears to be the weakest BP treatment out there: Some other brands I tried still created patchy/peely dry sections. For me, this one never has. 5) Very cost effective. Buying 2.5% BP treatments at drug store can run about $8 for less than 1 oz tube (buying off-brand for same size was about $6.) This product at about $20 (for 8oz) is about $2.50/oz.!! (It lasts a long time too. At most, I need to purchase once or twice a year, even with both my boyfriend and I using it. I converted him over to Dr Song too!) I don't write reviews, but honestly after 2 years worth of Dr Song product purchases, i felt this deserved one. Struggling with painful acne sucks hard: this was (and has been) a great find.

Great for those monthly breakouts!
I absolutely swear by this stuff!! I usually get breakouts a week before my menstrual cycle. Every night after I cleanse my face I will apply about a pee size and rub onto my face and neck, concentrating on my jaw line as that is where I would tend to break out. A little bit goes a long way! As long as I am consistent with this nightly regime I have seen incredible results! The only downfall is you have to be extremely careful that it does NOT touch your clothing or hair (eyebrows or hairline). I have had a couple of shirt collars ruined by the bleaching effect from the benzoyl peroxide. When I first started using it I noticed that my skin was drying out. I started using a moisturizer in the morning and it helped a lot! I recommend this to anyone who has bad breakouts who is serious about clearing that cycle up!

Skin clear for the first time in decades
I’m 37 and have had one or two ugly zits in some stage of emergence at all times for the last twenty years, since finishing a course of accutane. I thought that since I’d already tried the big guns, I was just stuck living with this, and worked hard to protect my skin from worse breakouts with moisturizers, sunscreen, toner, gentle soaps, salicylic acid for breakouts, etc. I got used to watching my skin flare every time I went anywhere new and exposed it to different water. But then I did a dermatology rotation and they told us benzoyl peroxide products are a great place to start for dealing with mild acne. I have interviews coming around the country and had been bracing myself to flare for every single one. But reviews of this product were awesome online. So last month I went for it. And now I have NO ZITS. NONE. A big painful cyst felt like it was forming under the surface and I applied this twice a day and it DISAPPEARED. Nothing has EVER stopped my zits from forming once they start. Even more awesome, I feel like the peroxide might have a mild bleaching effect on the old hyperpigmentation. It’s been six weeks and my skin just keeps looking better and better. I still moisturize and use sun screen because these products can increase sensitivity to sun damage. I still use my same gentle soap to cleanse. But Dr. Song’s is my everything. I’ll go to interviews confident now. So thankful and pleased.

No More Acne and No More Dry Skin - for awhile
Update about 7 months in: This stuff really worked at first, but after about 4 or 5 months I grew a tolerance to it. I use it mainly for scalp acne that keeps breaking out everyday. It really helped at first and cleared me up for the longest time, but the acne started to reappear and this benzoyl peroxide gel doesn't have the same effectiveness as it once had. It especially doesn't work on cystic acne, the gel doesn't penetrate deep enough to get to the infection. What does help is clindamycin liquid solution, but that requires a dermatologist prescription and lots of doctor and pharmacy visits which are a pain, and potentially expensive. I need to look for another product that can tackle my scalp acne problem. This gel still works a little bit, but it isn't clearing me up immediately as it once did, and I still breakout almost daily. The big tube of gel is really nice because I can apply a ton of it all over the problem areas on my scalp that keep breaking out. But it's no use if it stops working. Does anyone have a solution for adult scalp acne breakouts?
