UPDATE: Not sure why I waited so long to contact the company. but when I did they responded immediately. A technician remotely connected to my computer and fixed the problems that were causing my computer to run so slowly. He also warned be about a Bit Lock (I think that's the name) that could have created a nightmare for me! I don't remember seeing it when I first set up the computer, but I guess it's a new default from Microsoft that is intended to protect your computer from hackers, BUT, if you don't have the code to unlock it if it's activated you are locked out of your computer forever!!!Anyway, my computer is now working just as I had hoped it would, fast and faster!! Thanks!!

The Intel NUC is essentially the PC version of the Mac Mini. It's the most powerful computer I've owned--and also the smallest!! It also has built-in support for UHD graphics which provides superb detail on my 27" UHD monitor. You can buy them direct from Intel, or from an assembler and save a few hundred dollars, just make sure that your assembler is using high quality memory and solid state hard drive components. My assembler, michaelelectronics2 also included an excellent USB hub which has come in handy and has been compatible with every device I've tested. If you're looking for a powerful computer in a small package, you're unlikely to find a better option than the Intel NUC.

I SERIOUSLY regret purchasing this computer. I have had it for 2 months and it has crashed numerous times from out of the box. In those 2 months, it was sent back to the seller for repairs. They said it had a bad hard drive and replaced it. Less than 2 weeks after they repaired it, it has crashed again. Absolute waste of time and money. I could have spent that $1600 on a Samsung, Sony, etc anything else that would work and be reliable.

Happy with the System everything was pre installed seem a reasonable price. I had a older Bench screen the DVI to HDMI did not work so i put a seen with HDMI ports that worked. User is happy so far they had a i3 nuc it was not working well with there software ( it had 16 GB of Ram) this unit is working well program work as it should.

Installed Ubuntu 20.0.4 server on this machine. I get constant errors in the log that one of the USB ports is bad, but they all seem to work. It freezes randomly with high usage which I’ve seen reports of from other people. I also got an older 8th gen i5 and doesn’t have these issues. At some point I will move everything to my i5 and try a fresh install to see if it helps. That said, when it isn’t freezing, it works great! Small and very fast.

Needed a small but powerful W10 system for my workbench without taking up a lot of space or breaking the bank. Laptop wouldn't fit. This system worked out very well.

Still amazed how small this is compared to my old ATX build. Have it mounted to the back of my display so freed up lots of space in the office.Performance is solid with the nvme and added my own SSD I had. Still plays league of legends great in medium, and Minecraft dungeon in medium settings. Great for my Hypervisor (6 cores!)

These little machines are perfect for office or media center use. Under load they definitely make sound, but they aren't overly loud. Great performance in a small package.
