I don't know about the temperature gauge, John, but if it uses the CR2032 battery this is the correct replacement. I used them in my garage door opener remote units and they work perfectly.

Does this battery work on 973LM as well ?

I not sure on style you mention but these are standard for the part number on battery. Maybe look up compatible battery styles.

The most important thing is to use the correct battery. Your device should specify which battery to use. For example a CR3032 and a CR3025 look alike, but they are different. The CR3025 is thinner and may not may contact with your switch or push button.

Sorry I did receive batteries they were just hiding in the box.

I want to say I'm sorry for the review yesterday stating the box was empty. When I went to flatten the box and pulled the flaps on the bottom of the box apart the batteries fell out. They were stuck in the bottom flaps. Thank you .
