Best headgear to prevent cauliflower ear, straps are hard to adjust but that's good so it'll be secure, it's very easy to hear your coaches with this headgear on. Overall great headgear.

Great, but I ordered green and gold and got green and orange. Silver lining… I could always spot my kid in team huddle because he was the only one in orange.

I bought this particular blue/red pair for one of my daughters who was wrestling using borrowed headgear from the team. It took a minute to adjust, but once we got the fit right, it sat well, didn't come loose as often as the others had, and did its job in protecting my baby's ears. (Very important: Take the time to adjust the, admittedly difficult to adjust, head and chin straps, otherwise it will be a nice looking waste of money.) It can accommodate a headrag, be worn over short or long hair, doesn't dig into the face, and when the chinstrap is properly adjusted, doesnt choke her while wrestling, nor get stuck in her mouth (plus it doesnt have that nasty chincup/staph-catcher). I would fully recommend this item as well as this seller).

I've wrestled all my life, and this is the best headgear I've owned. Does the job, stays on, easy to clean (though it doesn't get funky to begin with since it has no fabric). Not hard to adjust once you get the hang of it (and then once you have the perfect adjustment, it will stay that way). I'm also starting to get into BJJ, and this design isn't annoying to your rolling partners. The shells are mostly flat and are padded with a soft, smooth exterior. The first thing you should do when you unpack it is snip off the extra bit of strap after the snap, which will make it easier to snap on because the useless bit won't get in the way. Next, cross the top straps (swap the slots they enter), otherwise the one in front will end up in your eyes when you're wrestling. If you're bothered by the smell it has when it's new, All-Natural Deodorizer that Eliminates Odors, 12 FL.OZ. Bottle, Kills Bacteria and Fungi, Cleans and Disinfects. For all types of Athletic Gear. gets rid of it or at least masks it with a pleasant bubble gum smell. A lot of people like the chin strap (not included) instead of the neck strap. That's a matter of taste; I've tried both and personally prefer the neck strap. And then among the neck-strap users, some like the black pad (myself included) while others don't. You may need to experiment.

I’m a female competitive jiu jitsu purple belt and I’ve been training almost 8 years. I train hard 6 days a week most times and many days I train 2x a day. I’ve never really had issues with grapplers ear unless I’m doing no GI and a lot of take downs. But for some reason this past year my ears are getting beat up and mild swelling and hardening. Like many I think cauliflower ears are FREAKING nasty especially on a female! Like it’s gross protect your ears people. I don’t need nasty ear to let people know I’m “tough” or a “fighter” it’s gross and hurts lol. Most people outside of grappling sports don’t even know that your ears can do this from training so they just think you have a deformity. Point being I’ve been on the search for a very good comfortable headgear that stays on since I train so hard. This was recommended by many wrestlers on my team and one of the only brands on Amazon that had reviews from jujitsu athletes. These are seriously amazing they’re so comfortable once you figure out how to adjust them and you fit them to your head they do not come off and they’re very comfortable for you and your training partners. A lot of people have told me I need to order the chin cup attachment so I’m going to do so. I also like that this is all plastic I had another headgear that was fabric and it was giving me very bad acne from all the bacteria building up in the fabric. Highly recommend!

I just received these and found that the material is really bad quality that is ripped off at the seam so how I meant to do wrestling with this!!! I think i will buy the adidas one much better
