Q: Should someone that is 5'6" 145 lb with a ripped muscular build get a small or medium?

I am 5' 4" and 147 lbs and a small fits me perfectly.

Q: is this warm? What is the material made of? Is it good for winter wear?

This is a sweater, and is good for Winter wear. I don't remember the fabric as it was a gift to our grandson last year. But, it fits very close to the body and not a loose fit at all, so you may want to go up a size if you order. My grandson is tall and very thin, and I ordered size large to have the sleeves long enough for him, but was sent an extra large by mistake. I was glad because that ended up fitting him better than the large would have. He's 22, and has never worn an XL in anything, but this sweater fit him perfect in the XL.

Hang dry over a clean bathroom towel-upside down. when dry; fold and store in a dresser drawer. Storage in a dresser drawer helps retain its shape I hope this suggestion works for out for you!
