This is a really great cutter. Very powerful, extremely clean cuts. I recommend bolting this thing to a really solid table for ease of use and to prevent injury though, as it will tip forward if not bolted down. I have cut brass and copper with it, though is claims to work with steel. I don't do much steel work, and have not tried it with steel as I want to keep the blade sharp for the softer metals.

I bought it to make and cut license plates. It cuts those aluminum license plates like a hot knife through butter. I love this thing. I just had to rig a square up to it so I can cut license plate plates at the perfect angle.

Great tool for the price. I use it to cut copper plates. If your worried about keeping a straight line glue on a grid to keep your line. I use it to cut up to 14GA. Also if your wondering it will curly the piece you cut.. but not a problem.. just pound it back down. See Attached picture of one of my cuts i did with the Shear.

Heavy. That's good. I have been cutting up old Disson handsaw blades that are somewhat hardened. This cutter cuts them cleanly without much distortion. In the past I've used everything from an angle grinder, to a band saw, to heavy-duty snips and I've hated the cuts from all of these tools. This thing cuts really well and with minimal effort. And... the best thing... it's quiet. You don't have to plug it in. You don't need hearing protection or even a dust mask. In my experience it doesn't cut really thin flashing material all that, but I could probably adjust the cutter heads to be a bit tighter. The thin stuff has a tendency to bend and get wedged between the block and the cutter head. Overall, I love this thing. It was a great purchase and it was crazy-inexpensive... with shipping!

Works as it should and cuts beautifully. Heavy duty, sharp shear. I use it for mostly aluminum. Its cuts 3/16 like butter! Not great for super accurate cuts but for snipping off corners and small peices its ideal. Very easy to use, one handed operation. Came well packaged and not damaged. The reason I give this a 4 star is because the actual cutting length is 10.75 inch not 12. The shear plate itself is 12 so that is a little misleading. I would highly recommend as its a cheap option to shear metal with very little footprint.

This is a beast. 40 lbs is my guess. Took a few minutes to set up. I redrilled the handle so it fit tighter. The feet were a little off so I trued with a 5 lb hammer. I cut 20 ounce copper sheets. Really easy. It’s built for more. Last comment. I think I could rework the spring position so that the jaw opens wider and it has a 12” capacity instead of 10” Sounds like complaints but that was my expectation. If I spend 5x more money I’d expect more.

Well built it cuts amazing the tool save's my hand from using hand shears

Its heavy it works in the simpliest way but crude. There is no guide or way to cut lines straight is my biggest beef, when you start cutting the material moves even when clamped down, plus no guide makes it take much longer than it should to line things up, and then again it moves... Also it bends thinner steel as it cuts it, be aware of that so cut from the backside so the bend is kind of hiiden.

Das Element an sich wirkt sehr robust. Bei der Montage sind mir jedoch gleich mehrere Mängel aufgefallen: - angeschweißte Fußplatten sind verbogen - die Gewinde des Niederhalters sind so schlecht geschnitten, dass dieser sich kaum verstellen lässt - die Schneideklingen sind zum Teil blau lackiert. - der obere Teil des Hebels zum niederdrücken ist nur aufgesteckt, nicht befestigt. ärgerlich... Lieber ein paar Euro mehr verlangen und das Ganze dafür ordentlicher zu verarbeiten wäre sinnvoller gewesen.
