Seems pretty pure to me though I don't have a way to check. Seems to be working really well for creating nickel electroplating solution. Oh and for the record, nickel is magnetic so don't be phased by those other reviews.

Since items from China aren't always as advertised, I checked the purity of the nickel Density was 8.79 (should be 8.89 - close enough) Since impurities cause a marked increase in resistance, I measured the resisitivity coefficient which is 0.0696 Pure nickel is 0.075, 201 nickel is 0.085 200 nickel is 0.096 So it appears to be more pure than 201 which is excellent. A good product. The actual size is 2.11 x 26.4 x 151.3 mm

used a spark test to confirm this is in fact nickel. ironically i bought the 6" rod this same supplier also sells and it was actually stainless and ended up wrecking my first plating solution. i bought some more nickel from another supplier and used this strip as the cathode to create the electrolyte and lo and behold its turned a nice emerald green over the last several hours so thats good.

I thought I was going crazy because my copper bus bars were not plating properly. Turns out the nickel is not pure and Amazon is still selling this. Thanks for wasting my time not to mention the unnecessary exposure to chemicals. I made two batches of solution with the same result.

These are definitely nickel anodes, at least the ones I got are. They do not last long when creating your plating solution. It would be nice if they sold an anode that had more thickness. These are probably okay for the home hobbyist though.
