Great value
I am very happy with this bag. I haven't had a 50L bag (or any "tactical" bag) before so I don't know how big a 50L bag was supposed to be. Regardless, this bag has plenty of room for a long day of hiking if you want an extra jacket, food, survival gear, gps, water bladder and a few of your buddy's items. If you would use this bag for outdoor activities or as a B.o.B. I would recommend the 50L over the smaller version because the compression straps can make the bag significantly smaller if you ever desire. You can't make the smaller bag larger. The materials are tough and thick with the exception of the thin fishnet mesh type material that make some of the pockets inside of some compartments. I noticed a small rip in one of the pieces of mesh after my first outing(likely from something I had stored in there) but it doesn't really bother me. Unless you have bulky, sharp or heavy items in the mesh I don't think it will be an issue. I do wish this material was tougher. The vinyl exterior did absorb some water falling from the cave roof on my cave hiking trip but I imagine it could be water-proofed with a water-proofing product. The vinyl did not become ripped or noticeably scraped up when I had close encounters with cave walls or jagged rocks. One of the most difficult decisions when picking this Mil-tec bag was the color option because there are so many types of camo and colors to choose from. My philosophy of use for this wasn't a dedicated bug-out-bag but more of a gear and day hike bag so I wanted something a little subdued and a color that wouldn't scream for attention in a crowd. The color of the OD Green is nice and not at all obnoxious in my opinion. I'd say it is a little darker than the particular picture given and under dim indoor lighting it appears to have a brownish hew to it. Lighting can change the perceived color so it isn't fair to judge it by one picture or scene. The buckles, molle II webbing and straps are very robust and well stitched. All seams appear to be strong and the zippers have not given me any trouble so far. The shoulder straps seemed a little stiff out of the bag but they really did not bother me when I was using it. I do with that this bag had a Y-strap (to attach a jacket externally) and a sternum strap but if you're thrifty those would be easy additions. I got my SOG Seal Pup Elite knife with kydex sheath to attach to some molle II webbing on the side which was nice. The sheath is not designed to attach to molle II but I got it to barely squeeze through.I am glad I chose this over a Maxpedition or something similar that would cost double or more. I believe you get approximately equal quality at a significantly lower price. This Mil-Tec bag says it was made in Germany. If you're wondering about shipping, the particular seller I purchased it from (Camo Outdoor) shipped it from Ireland the next day. It arrived (in WA, USA) a little over 2.5 weeks after I ordered it, and on the first day of the estimated delivery time frame. It would have been nice to have ship tracking offered but it all worked out well.

Perfect for the Price
Bought about 2 months ago... Heavy every day use.I work as an Emergency Medical Technician and use this bag every day for work to carry gear that I use on shift.SIZE: 4/5 - I cannot agree with the "36L" claim, but I would say it is close, maybe around 30L. There are four major compartments plus a hydration bladder section (which I do not use)Largest compartment - Plenty big. I store a full size lap top in a case with ease, along with an iPad with stand. I am still able to fit a lot more in this compartment even with the Laptop and iPad in it.Medium (middle) compartment - Large enough to store full change of uniform plus Hat, Gloves, sunglasses, etc.Bottom Front Pocket - Has a divider for pens, documents, and other small storage. Top Front Pocket has no divider, I use this for quick access items (Pager, cell phone, chargers, etc.)APPEARANCE: 4/5 Plenty of MOLLE all over the bag including the front and sides. OD Green is on the darker side, which I am a fan of. I do wish it has some type of hook and loop to place a name tape on. I will end up sewing one on at some point.OPERATIONAL USE: Because I use this as an everyday work pack, I do have a few complaints... There are many straps, two on each side to compress the bag, two on the bottom to store rolled tarp or sleeping gear, along with a belly/hip belt. I was able to set up the pack so that most of these straps are tucked away somehow, I just wish they were easier to conceal.Otherwise.... I absolutely love this pack. It is large enough to fit everything I need for work (which tends to be a lot of gear)PRICE for QUALITY: 5/5 I believe I paid less than $40 for this pack, which is a great price for what you get. KEEPING IN MIND you do not expect a full Mil-Spec pack. Yes, some of the straps are on the cheaper side as well as the buckles, but for an everyday bag, It works well. I do plan to buy a Condor 3 day Assault Pack to use for Multi-Day Hiking / Tac-Ops use. But this will remain my everyday bag.OTHER THOUGHTS: Padding on shoulder straps is mid-grade. It is not a lot of padding, but has more than the average school style book-bag. The Waits Belt Buckle is better made than the rest of the buckles, so it will hold up to moderate use. Zippers seem cheap, but they hold up very well. NOT WATER PROOF. Honestly, If you are willing to spend $65 on a 5.11 rush 12 bag, go with this one. It is larger and less expensive.Hope this helps yall.

Early thoughts: Excellent bag and totally worth the money.
I only received this item within the last week so I haven't put it to the test yet. That said, it showed up exactly as described. Like so many other reviews, I can say that the material seems strong and should last a few years of regular use, the sewing is good and the 36L space can fit a lot. The space itself is moderately compartmentalized, leaving plenty of options to organize your stuff. The molle weave is great too. I will be adding a bottle holder to it. Plus, with a few carabiner d-rings added, I can hang or tie almost any item to the outside (multi-tool, hat, sunglasses, gloves, etc...).Walking around the apartment with a full bag, the shoulder straps are comfortable and the waistline buckle helps keep it centered.A few, very minor cons: The interior pockets are a bit thin but useable. The pen holder in the lower front pocket has a few slots that are too narrow to hold anything (not even a paper clip). Not much of a loss though. It would also be nice if a few of the straps had loops to slip the strap-end into. With all of the versatile clips and straps sewn into it, I have strap ends sticking out at all sides. It's a small, cosmetic issue and not really a problem since this will be a bug-out bag.For $38, it's a steal. I'll post an update if any noticeable problems come up.
