Tiny but Mighty ~ Another Star in the Hammer Stahl Lineup!
Continuing our annual Hammer Stahl Christmas tradition, this year’s addition is the 3.5-inch paring knife, and it does not disappoint. True to the brand’s reputation, the knife is high-quality, well-crafted, and immediately feels professional in hand. The blade is sharp, precise, and perfect for small kitchen tasks like peeling, garnishing, or cutting fruits and vegetables, making everyday prep feel effortless. The ergonomic quad-tang Pakkawood handle is a standout feature. Comfortable, secure, and balanced, giving excellent control while reducing hand and wrist fatigue, even during extended prep work. The knife also comes beautifully packaged in a gift box, making it feel special and ready to gift right out of the box. As a fan of Hammer Stahl and a continuing participant in this holiday tradition, I can confidently say this paring knife upholds the same standard of quality, durability, and thoughtful design as their other tools. It’s practical, versatile, and a joy to use. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to add a reliable, stylish, and functional knife to their kitchen, or as a special gift for someone who appreciates quality kitchen tools.

Quality surpasses price. Fine addition to my regular cooking knife rotation.
I saw this knife in a fancy cookware store while traveling recently and added it to my Amazon wishlist to investigate when I got home. I was in the market for a paring knife to replace the dollar store special I was using. So, I took the plunge and I'm glad I did. The price is very reasonable for what you get. In particular, the still is decent enough that it is holding an edge in general use. Also, the way it is built makes seams almost invisible, so it isn't likely to get intrusive water in places you can't dry it (I hand wash all my knives). It is clearly made from a combination of materials on the handle, but it all fits together so well that you can't feal a single join. And it feels good in the hand...it is well balanced. That gives me a bit more confidence when I'm doing fiddly detail work while prepping meals.

Sharp
This is a well made knife and so far is sharp to cut up veggies and fruit. The weight is good and fits the hand well to be able to cut.

Very nice knife
Very nice knife both in quality and looks.

Beautiful, sharp, but with one notable flaw
Beautiful & sharp. My only complaint would be the rivets holding the wood to the tang are ever so slightly taller than the wood and the edges of rivot heads are a bit abrasive. I could do a bit of sanding, but it would likely destroy the wood. Probably why the manufacturer doesn’t do this themselves, but I’d hope they’d figure out how to manage that in manufacturing.

Great little knife.
Very good knife. I have several of the Hammer Stahl knives and like every one. The handles are comfortable in the hand and the blades hold their sharpness. I like it that the blades tend to run thinner than the Cutco counterparts, and the thinner blades slices through things smoother.
