Good quality item but box is open

The lock itself feels sturdy. Base and shackle excellent but the dial movements feel loose and don't have the satisfying clunky of other brands. It's also a little moody about the codes being in the exact right place before it opens, which can be frustrating adjusting the dials like a safe cracker. That said it'll annoy a thief just as much as it'll annoy you, unless they chop it, obviously.

Avoid this lock. The combination barrel is a flimsy construction and the numbers wobble about. The lock doesn’t inspire any confidence. Look for an alternative product. Anything is better than this lock

An sich halte ich Yale für eine interessante Alternative zu Abus oder Burgwächter, dieses Schloss enttäuscht aber doch eher. Die Verarbeitung ist zwar dem Preis entsprechend gut und das Schloss kommt mit einem 40mm breiten Korpus aus Messing auch recht wuchtig daher aber der Schließmechanismus ist sehr schwach ausgeführt. Wo der Bügel eines normalen Schlosses beidseitig durch "Nasen" einrastet ist hier nur eine wenige Milimeter tiefe Bohrung im Messing ausgeführt. Der Bügel verriegelt also nur auf einer Seite, auf der anderen sitzt das Ende einfach nur lose in einer Mulde. Zur verdeutlichung sind zwei Bilder angefügt, einmal wie der Bügel des Yale ausgeführt ist und einmal wie es aussehen sollte. Gegen normales Handwerkzeug (Schraubendreher, Gabelschlüssel) dürfte diese Schwachstelle nicht lange standhalten.
