What size is the X-large?

It's like a 9-1/2 to 10. I have a 9-1/2 foot size and wore them with ankle socks. They fit perfect and loose enough, to adjust to my feet swelling as haloween night went on.

Are they comfortable? To walk around all night in?

Go a size larger. Very stiff shoe. Okay for short term use.

If I wear a 7 1/2 should I get an 8?

Hi there and good evening, I'd go for the 8. I happen to be a 7 shoe in most brands, and the 7 I ordered fits great but it's a snug fit. Anything thicker than hose or thin socks and it would be too tight of a shoe! So if you typically wear a 7.5, definitely opt for the 8. They're great shoes for a Dorothy costume!
