Is this the best Wrist Brace brand? The quality of how?

The main part that you slide your wrist through is decent. However, there is a strap that wraps around the brace. The end of the strap has a velcro patch attached to it which secures the strap once you wrap it around the rest of the brace. The attachment is very thin and flimsy. After minimal use of one brace, the velcro patch tore off, rendering the strap useless. I would avoid this product.

Do these have a locking mechanism to keep the strap from loosening during use?

They have wrap around straps that hold very very well . I'm a very large man and they have never loosened on me . They work very very well highly recommended

I ordered the correct size with room to spare as well as measuring correctly. Are these suppose to be snug before velcro?

I would think so. I wrapped the strap around my thumb for support. It was a big help. don't use currently as I don't need the support. I also have HiRui 2 Pack Wrist Brace Wrist Wraps and really like these and use occasionally as needed; easy to adjust and take off quickly.
