Welding Torch Fueled By MAPP and Propane Gas For Soldering, Glass blowing, Jewelly

Excellent torch, I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s a weighty piece of metal, very sturdy, nothing is made out of plastic except the rubber seals, so it should last ages, the air intake is easily controlled, as well as the gas intake, it can be screwed to the gas tank. I feel very confident that it will work. Can’t wait to buy a Mapp tank and stop using butane.It came very well packaged as well.

I use this to get my wood stove fired up, and it works perfectly for that, saving a lot of time. It has a nice heft to it and a nice feel, and seems like it is well built and should be good and durable. It definitely puts out more than enough easy-to-focus heat to get a fire going quickly, and would likely do fine for any other job that takes a good torch. The one thing that might be nice is if there was a way to adjust the air mix other than sliding the little metal shield over the holes in the center of the out-feed, but then anything like that would more costly, and I'd have probably not bought it.

Okay I want to love the torch but the little metal collar used to adjust airflow to the flame is flimsy and mine warped. It's not the biggest issue, I tried to bring it back to true with pliers but didn't have any luck. Being wrapped makes the flame tip a little less clean and a little less defined. It lets too much air leak into the system but not so much that it makes a huge difference. It's easy to use but the dial is touchy; you think you have the flame just how you want it then let it go and it goes out or comes blasting out. You have to make sure you don't push or pull the knob as you adjust otherwise you run that risk. It's worth the price and looks nice. The flame can get pretty hot and has a good length to it when you open it up. I'd buy it again.

This air intake clip thing is not very secure and always fall off, even after bending it tighter. The flame is fine, but doesn’t get very precise like I’d hoped. Because of that it’s not really getting much hotter with mapp that with regular propane. In fact I have a cooking torch which uses butane that gets much more precise and much hotter, and isn’t even that nice a torch. Considering that this one is all brass, instead of mostly plastic like the cooking torch, you’d think this would be a bit more precision.

Wow very, very, very powerful torch. I am really impressed. No plastic parts. For the price this torch is high-quality and amazing.

Works great.Don’t lose the air bleed clip.

I attached it to a fresh canister of gas and checked if it was operational, which it was, then I disengaged it and walked away to get something. It then exploded at the base of the torch while I was away from it. Thank god I wasn't holding or using it.

I just wish it has a self igniting system. Other than that, all GOOD !
