Overall, really cool!
This is a really neat clock. At first, it did seem a little bit cheap for what I had paid. But it is a solid working clock, and as it cycles through the moon phases, it's pretty cool.

My Second Clock
I first bought this clock through a catalog as a gift about 1990, but, like other reviewers, felt it did not look as expensive as it acturally was, so I kept it for myself. I soon found myself referring to it frequently and it found a permanent place in my bedroom. When it died one week ago and a new battery could not revive it, I found myself missing the moon that had occupied the dresser space for so long. I was thrilled to find it still available on line and am looking forward to having my new moon phase clock where my old one used to be.

neat idea, not perfect
First up: the plastic looks at least a little cheaper in reality than it does online, but not much. Overall, I felt it was worth the money. It runs silently and appears to be quite accurate. A few quibbles: 1.It isn't readily apparent from the photos, but the moon is a flat photograph, not a photo-globe (I would up it to 5 stars if it had been.) 2.Instead of a second hand it has a tiny disk in the center of the clock face with a white dot-but you have to look at it for several seconds to decide if it is actually moving-it isn't very useful. Other than those two points I can't find anything I don't like. Now as to the quality service: The first clock was damaged in shipment. Even though the box wasn't opened for weeks (it was a gift, ordered early) the company promptly sent out a replacement. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Beware!! Very cheap product.
Clock not worth $70!! It feels like a $20 clock at most. It shows then moon phases by rotating half of a plastic ball in front of a flat moon sticker, looks different from the pictures. Does not light up or anything. And even the time clock is super cheap. I returned mine and got charged a 15% restocking fee!!! Unbelievable!

Moon phases and time
A great product. Bought the first one over 25 years ago and gave it to my parents. They said the phases of the moon are always correct. Bought this one for myself. Keeps great time and just like the first one it showes the phases of the moon correctly.

Meh
It's ok, not amazing. Pretty underwhelming for the price. Plastic is dark blue, not black. Very loud ticking. Meh.

Moon Phase Watching
This purchase was a present for a nephew, his wife and young daughters, 3 and 8 years old, both interested in the night sky. I have owned 2 of the clocks for about 5 years and, even as an adult, enjoy watching them. The clock is an excellent tool for learning and for just every day enjoyment.
