This thing is awesome! Provides perfect lodging for my umbrella to provide shade over my truck tailgate during camping trips. Can use tailgate as work surface without baking my self.

Durable enough to use for work. No complaints
Id say its durable! I use this for work doing mobile dent repair out of a F25012hrs a day 5 days a week. I used the short part only and its perfect for covering my tools and giving me a shady place to work in the florida heat, using a 9x15 ft umbrella. I used a anti rattle hitch addon that makes this very stable.

Seems sturdy
We used it for a picnic umbrella for our eclipse-viewing excursion with friends. It does the job. Does not seem in any way flimsy. I have heard some complaints about this type of device not having a closed bottom end on the holder for the pole. If that's what you need, buy one that says it's for driving around with a flagpole in your bumper, not one that's open so you can slide a pole through. I don't doubt we'll use it again for more picnics.
