This adapter works well. I'm happy with my purchase. Edit: I've had it for a couple of months now and it still works well! Things I have noticed: 1. While USB-C connectors are not usually directional, it seems this adapter is directional. It doesn't seem to work correctly if I plug it into the device the wrong way. I find that it's connected properly when the speaker output is on the right side and the charging port is on the left side (when looking at the phone). 2. Once in a while, the sound output won't be transferred to my headphones if I plug them in when I'm already playing music through the phone speakers. But it will work if I pause the music and then hit play again. I'm guessing this may be a device issue and not an adapter issue. I hope this info might help users who encounter issues with the adapter!

iPad Pro works great. Use for gaming. Sometimes as with other splitters and certain games need to reopen app after plugging in. Seems to be a iOS to app issue. All good. The design is more comfortable than the boxy splitters for charging and coax headphones. Update: Bought several of these over last two years. Keep extra for gaming backup. The last two straight out of the box do NOT work with iOS. Have reported to the seller and have responded and will send replacements.

Seems like they aimed low...and hit the target. Works for charging, earbuds, not data...which works for me. If I connect the earbuds to charging port or the other way around...doesn't recognize. which seems good. I bought five splitters trying to get one that works and I like. I fret about malicious cable possibilities. This one does not heat up or do anything weird that would be indicative of a malicious chip or something in the adapter. It is also so slim I don't see room for a micro SIM . The Apple sanctioned Belken version is $50 and half the size of an iPhone SE; it looks and feels...ludicrously large. It does, however, work for data ... sometimes I think this is the one I'll keep.

I constantly forget to check the charge on my phone, so many times when needing to make a call there is not enough charge. This splitter has been a lifesaver since I can call and charge my phone at the same time.

First let me talk about why I wanted to purchase this product. Then, let me explain why I decided to return it. Now, there are a lot of good reviews on this splitter, so your mileage may vary. But in terms of what I was hoping to accomplish and the equipment that I was using, this splitter was a complete FAIL. Why did I purchase it? I own an LG G8 Thinq (the last flagship phone LG made in 2019 prior to exiting the smartphone segment). I tend to stream music via my phone (through Amazon Music HD) and the car’s AUX port. I have been doing this by simply taking a high quality 3.5mm audio stereo cable with two male heads and plugging one head into the AUX port and the other into the phone’s headphone jack. But then I wanted better sounding fidelity and thus purchased a THX Onyx dongle DAC (THXO). If you look this up, you’ll see that now the 3.5mm audio stereo cable needs to be connected to the THXO’s female 3.5mm port. And, the other side of the TXHO is a male USB-C which then plugs into the phone’s USB-C female port. However, if you do this, how do you then charge your phone at the same time? This is where this nifty type of product comes in. Its design would allow me to stream music (enhanced by the TXHO) and to charge my phone at the same time. But there were two serious problems that I experienced with this device: 1. If you plug the splitter into the phone AND then you only use the charging connector (pictured with the lightning bolt) to charge your phone, that connection got oddly and startlingly hot. In fairness, I should say that if you had both connections in play, then the connection point with the lightning bolt got warm while the connection for the 3.5mm audio cable remained cool. 2. If you plug the splitter into the phone AND then you only use the charging connector (pictured with the lightning bolt) to charge your phone, the phone actually DOES NOT charge. It continues to lose battery life. In fairness, I should say that if you had both connections in play, then my charger did work in terms of increasing my phone’s battery life. I am going to order an identical looking product from another vendor and will just keep my fingers crossed.

I can confirm that this splitter works excellent in a 2012 Nissan Pathfinder Silver Edition. I'm able to fast charge and play audio through my infotainment system using the audio input jack. I highly recommend this splitter for older radios that do not play audio through Bluetooth.

Took a gamble and bought this in the hopes of being able to use a USB-C keyboard with my Nintendo Switch Lite while charging. It works flawlessly! It is advertised as being for "headphones only" with smartphones, but I've had no issues using it with a keyboard into my Switch. Kind of a niche use but it's a huge quality of life improvement. I can spend long hours with the charging cable plugged in and not have to deal with the Switch's abysmal on-screen keyboard. Hope this helps!

I was looking for a solution to charge my iPad while connected to an external DAC/AMP. This splitter is not it. A lot of interference and it just doesn't work. Look elsewhere. Update (9/19/2022): I can confirm that this will cause issues for those using this splitter for external DAC/AMPs for audiophiles. When I use this with my iPad mini 6 and iPad Pro M1 (2021) with one end charging and the other end plugged directly into one of the following, these things happen: - Topping DX3 Pro +: There is a lot of interference and it's terrible to listen to music. Works perfectly fine without the splitter. - JDS Labs Element III: The DAC/AMP would cut out completely after a couple of seconds. I have manually pull the power cable out to restart the DAC/AMP to get it working again. When I don't use this splitter, it works fine. It's as if there is an issue with the allocation of power in the splitter and the DAC/AMP had to go into safe-mode. This USB-C splitter doesn't work with higher quality DAC/AMPs as their USB engine is sensitive to hose USB disruptions. "It's important to to avoid splitters and KVMs" the owner of JDS Labs had emailed me. Overall, I do not recommend this product for an audiophile setup.

So far so good. I have a Samsung S20 FE and it works just as expected. I'm using this in my car to play music and charge my phone at the same time. No issues or sound quality to report. Plus great customer service. definitely recommend.
