This power supply is not a true isolated power supply.Similar to the $30+ power supply in the market.It is an optimized 1 spot power supply. This optimized 1 spot power supply can't compete with the real isolated power supply (such as voodoo) in eliminating noise. Because of this, we specially add four AC outlets to the power supply. We hope that customers can use AC outlets to power supply the noisy pedal when there is noise in pedal. In this way, customers can solve the power supply problem of pedal at a relatively low price.

Can you plug a 9V pedal into the 12v or 18v ports? I have 10 pedals that are 9v

Usually its safe (and very fun) to give analog compressors and fuzzes 12v, but it can be risky. Google to see if anyone has used your particular pedal with 12v. I found great results by getting a daisy chain power cable (2 or 3 way) and using it on the 9v 500mah output. that way you can use more 9v pedals at once. Hope this helps!

What can I use the 12v & 18v ports for? at this stage I only need 9v ports. I use seven mini pedals.

There are a few pedals and accessories that call for 12V. Personally I have a TC-Helicon voice processor mounted on my pedalboard and it requires 12V. If you don’t need anything but 9V just don’t use the 12V and 18V jacks. It’s a solid adapter.
