Takes a little bit of figuring out since the instructions have a typo in it If your brand is not listed, you hold "set" for a few seconds then when you let go you will see the numbers on the bottom right corner slowly go up and cycle through 1-1000. You then need to listen closely the entire time to hear your air conditioner beep. But the numbers don't stop cycling after your air conditioner beeps so you gotta pay attention. Once the AC Beeps, then you press the up or down button to go back to the number that made your ac beep then press "ok". Then this means the remote is connected to the AC For my confortotal ac , the code was 62

We travel a lot if West Africa and very often the hotel rooms have AC but there is no remote or the supplied remote does not work. Found what I suspect correct code, once programed the only thing this remote would do was turn OFF air conditioner (any button). Used code 307, searched all 1000 for another match, could not find one.

***Please read everything for more programming info I still like this remote... But it seems about every 2-3 weeks for some reason I have to "reprogram" the dang thing! Why? I have no idea & there's brand new batteries in it(I checked while installed the voltage) The remote doesn't get banged around. I put a magnet on the back so it would stay in one place & not be hit\banged\moved or set wrong. Thankfully there's an auto search option(but watch using it, if just held down it goes in 10# sequence & skipping 90% of codes. I'm not sure if any of the codes on the instructions works. The flash light is USELESS! Clock fails to keep time(digital clock!) It would be great if the manufacturer had different color buttons! But this is worth the money given the ability to find a code for a 10-15 y\o portable A\C unit! **Some people are complaining about "No ENTER button" People please think about it... "SET or OK" is the same thing in foreign countries sometimes. Instructions for programming remote 1.Hold down on "SET" to start program mode. 2. Use the "Temp" up\down buttons to adjust between codes 3.When you hear the BEEP write down the code(if you go too far you can use the down temp to get to correct code) 4. I go through the entire set of 1000 codes to see if more than one correct codes 5. Make sure to tap "OK" to store code in remote. *There could be a better code than the first one that BEEPs or turns off. A different code might have more functions that work! **Make sure you write down the code(s) inside the remote or on the AC unit. When you replace the batteries you will need to reprogram the remote. I need a control for my AC and this one worked perfectly. It is easy to programmed. Excellent product

The remote seems to forget the programming after a week or two. I suppose that is why there is a place to write down the programmed number when you need to do it again, haha. Price was good and I guess I will just keep reprogramming it since the return window is closed

A must have ! I was unsure if it would match my unit but it did without me even having to pair ! This is amazing I appreciate the quality and price ! I recommend this to everyone who may have lost or broken Ac remote !

It took a day for local delivery. Works on my very old McQuay aircon unit. Patience paid off, as the code runs from 000->999. Lucky to hear a beep at code 098. So happy it works!
