Perfect size and excellent quality, loved the price too

Seems like a decent little safe. Its fire & water resistant, so thats a plus, although I don't really have to worry about it getting flooded due to my location, but you never know about fire... It has a slot on the back of the door that is perfect for holding vehicle titles and folded papers. It comes with a shelf that slides in and out but it is pretty flimsy, I wouldn't put much weight on it, a pound or two at the most. It also has a sliding drawer that I put on the very top, it catches a little bit due to the tight fit, but its not that bad at all. The handle on the front has some play in it, but I dont think its anything to worry about, you get what you pay for. I paid $200 for this safe and was not disappointed, well worth it if it can protect your belongings from thieves and fire and flooding, hope I never have to find out how good it actually is tho...

Craftsmanship is excellent, I have had this for about 5 years or so, still functions as the day I bought it.

It is quality -at a very reasonable price. However, mine shipped across country - and when I removed it from the packing materials within the box - none of the materials were damaged - the safe has a small dent in it. This must have occured before it when into the box, since the packing foam was undamaged. The safe is otherwise very nice - and I am over all pleased with it. It has a very secure, tight turning dial.

I hope I never test the fire proofness of this safe, but that was a prime motivation - to protect some material. This is a heavy beast, and if that isn't enough, then just bolt it to the floor. How safe is a safe? That's the ultimate question I guess - and I've watched numerous videos for this brand and that of many others. They can be broken into, but it will take a bit of time, and hopefully it will first discourage anyone that comes face to face with it. I intentionally chose this model which is mechanical - because I hate finding leaky batteries in something expensive that I haven't touched in 6 months or 2 years. The mechanism is easy to operate and feels secure. They have a number of sizes from much smaller to much larger, and I appreciated being able to pick a safe by the storage capacity. The online pictures show you what you need to know - so I didn't include any from my installation. The combination was a challenge to remember, but finally I did, and I appreciate that it is designed

While I'm a larger fan of metal dials and things like that, I was looking for a safe that I could put things in and had a fireproof rating. This came up and I read good reviews. My sister had a house fire several years ago and I have slacked off on getting a fireproof safe. It is small enough that I'd say it would be easy to remove if someone wanted, which is not a fantastic feature of a safe, but it's not so light I could solo pick it up and scoot away with it. I did also notice that it didn't appear to have any boltdown spots in it. It appears to be intended to just be a fireproof safe and deterrent. The safe works well and it is sensitive enough with tolerances that the dial is spot on, so I'd say that's a nice factor. The storage inside of it was plenty for all of my sensitive documents and a few extras in it. If one wanted they could remove a drawer or two if they needed smaller valuables in there, but I think the extra drawers were a nice touch. If you have access to a 3d printer you could probably even print your own addons inside for it for organization.

This safe is nearly impossible to unlock. Also the tumblers don't turn smoothly, I can tell it's cheaply made. I called the manufacturer and was told the waterproof seal swells, making it impossible to turn the handle. I was told to flip the safe, door up, push on the door forcefully, wait 5 minutes and try again. Also to remove the waterproof seal! Nothing was mentioned about the tumblers but to make sure the handle was all the way up prior to turning the dial. Did that, nothing changes. I sat on the door, it still didn't open. I had combination locks for years. None were as awful as this. I attempted to unlock this safe dozens of times, it opened up exactly twice. Removing the waterproof seal did nothing to help. So, it now sits door side up, unlocked, without it's waterproofing (removing the seal as advised by the manufacturer probably voided the warranty) Hopefully it is still fireproof or I've purchased a completely useless box. It's too heavy for me to lift into my car and return. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. If I could give it negative stars I would.

The safe is a perfect size. Heavy and smooth enough that thieves can’t just carry it away. Rotary lock is great as it doesn’t need batteries, big bonus.

The “plasticy” feeling inside and out (dial and handle) does not inspire confidence. I will keep it since I can’t afford a more expensive one but it confirms the overall trend towards the “ensh*titification” of everything we buy now.
