VELMIA Bicycle Saddle - Comfortable Saddle for Men and Women - 3 Zone Concept - Waterproof Bicycle Seat with Ergonomic Design

Superb saddle! The foam padding makes it much more comfortable than the gel saddle I previously used, which cost 5 times as much. For my road bike, the MTB model of the Velmia makes it much easier to maintain a comfortable riding position than did the broader, thickly padded saddle of another brand that I tried recently. And the MTB Velmia just looks classier. I use my bike both outdoors (daily) and in a training stand (3x/week), and this saddle I consider the perfect combination of contour and comfort.

Up until this time I have been using gel seat covers. They worked well for me for years and I still would not write them off all together. But lately every gel cover splits on one side, and eventually becomes uncomfortable. The last gel cover I bought on Amazon, split after my first 1 hour ride. I was given a refund. That was the 3rd one of a brand that is highly rated on here. They are comfortable at first but eventually the gel splits, and even oozes out sometimes. Anyway, this memory foam seat surprised me, I think its wonderful so far. I have been using it for about 2 to 3 months. I was a bit nervous ditching the gel seat covers, but read some reviews on this seat, and other info on gel vs foam seats/seat covers. I figured at this point I got to try something different. The seat did feel different at first but after a while it felt rather good. I stopped thinking of my sore butt and I did not have to keep shifting around so much. The shape of the seat seems to work for me, it was pretty easy to install. I still might adjust the forward and back position and height, which all has to do with my knees, back and hip issues. I do have to say that my physical issues during cycling and afterward are much better using this seat. I have my bike on a trainer right now. I ride for about an hour or so 1 to 2 times a week. So far so good. I think this seat will work well for me once I get out on the road again when the weather gets a bit nicer. When the seat arrived I did have an issue with the packaging. The box was rather beat up and it was obviously opened before. I contacted the seller and they understood my dissatisfaction with the packaging. They gave me a partial refund. There was nothing wrong with the seat, it was in good condition. Also I am listed here as a Vine reviewer, I did get the Vine invite, but have not gone ahead with that yet. So this review is from my own purchase of the product.

Not as soft as I had hoped, but definitely acceptable. My new ebike came with this ridiculous, over the top squishy, slippery, too wide and TOO HOT saddle. Seriously. It looked like they had attached a tiny couch to my new bike. Ugh. I replaced that awful thing with this. It’s not exactly hard, but there’s not a lot of give. That said, I find it comfortable. And the cut out in the middle of the saddle is something I’m used to. Does it supply air flow and protect my privates from pressure? I guess. Maybe. I do know my crotch doesn’t get as hot as it did with the mini couch. Or one of those gel saddle covers. Those things are terrible. I found the install easy. I took off one star because the saddle could be softer in the sit bones area. I think the build quality is good and the saddle will last a long time.

The saddle is well built and comfortable. I needed a comfortable saddle to replace the uncomfortable one which came with my bike by Lectric. I liked the saddle by Terry on my cross bike and was looking to buy another one by Terry, but it was very expensive and I saw this one was one sell and decided to try it. I was happy I took my chance with this product. - A lot of cheap saddles smell toxic and probably are. This saddle did not smell toxic when I took it out of the box.

Purchased the touring or trekking saddle for everyday as well as light touring use; I'm 5'6" and 180 lbs. Did not want to do this review until I had put several miles, time, and weather exposure on the saddle; happy to say it has fulfilled my expectations! In my younger days, had completed several 1000+ mile self sufficient tours on my standard bike. Now at 65 yrs old and a few extra pounds added on since those days, was looking for a comfortable saddle for distance touring that did not require a long break-in period like my old Brooks leather saddle. Initially, after a few local rides, was a little disappointed with the saddle soreness I was experiencing; however, after being more consistent getting on the bike and spending longer times in the saddle, it's pretty comfortable now. Have about 1300 miles on it since purchasing about a year ago riding in all kinds of weather, recently rode the Erie canal for 8 days straight averaging 50 miles/day and really had no saddle soreness to speak of. Overall am very happy with the saddle and have purchased another one for my other bike, highly recommend.

I've been slowly getting back into cycling because of quarantine. I recently fixed up a casual road bike that needed a new saddle. The old one lacked support and was too narrow. I decided to try the Velmia because of the price, and it was wider. Rode around for a couple miles to test it out. It did feel better than my previous saddle, but I could still feel pressure directly on my sit bones. I had another saddle to try, and tested that one right after. The other saddle felt way better, it has a "soft-shell". I then discovered the issue might have been the way the Velmia saddle is constructed. The two contact points of the rail are directly in the middle of the seat. You can see this clearly from the product photos. Even though there is memory foam, my 200 lbs can still feel the pressure from the plastic rail mounts. The surface material of the cover is also quite rough. It's definitely waterproof, and allows for a lot of grip, but it might be harder to switch riding positions. I also don't think the cover would last very long, it seems to be made of a vinyl/plastic, similar to a beach ball. TL;DR - great saddle for most casual riders, but for my needs, it just wasn't for me.

Siodełko zakupiłem do roweru trekkingowego. Przede wszystkim siodełko jest bardzo wygodne. Od momentu zakupu miałem okazję pojeździć na nim na dystansach do 4h ciągłej jazdy i w temperaturze do 20 stopni Celsjusza. Sprawdzało się bardzo dobrze. Jak będzie w przypadku wyższych temperatur to dopiero zobaczę. Uważam, że jest bardzo starannie wykonane. Samo siodełko, tworzywo i wykonanie, jest przyjemne dla oka i w dotyku. Pierwsze wrażenia są dużo bardziej pozytywny aniżeli siodełka fabrycznego zakupionego z rowerem.

Used this on my folding electric bike, the factory seat was incredibly uncomfortable. This one can't solve all the problems of a smaller bike, but it does a great deal to enhance the comfort when riding around.
