Keep using those aging products that seem to last forever!
Many years ago, when they first came out, I got one of those 5-plug remote switches, where I can control all 5 lamps in my great room right from my recliner. I thought I'd have to toss it even though it still works because the plastic 5-button remote control had turned an unsightly yellow, which made it look embarrassingly dirty. But I brushed on a generous coat of this gel, sat it out in direct sunlight for 2 hours, and now the plastic is gleaming white! So impressed. I hate replacing things that still work; and I have plenty of gel left in the bottle. Guess it's time to go on a treasure hunt through my closets and junk drawers! :)

It works!
It is 40% hydrogen peroxide , it does make old plastic white. I used on my dishwasher dashboard and it became white again

Patience is the key for best results
Originally I attempted to follow the printed instructions and use a ziplock bag. However I found that this method was messy, wasted a lot of the gel solution and resulted in uneven coverage. I elected to go with a hard plastic container with clear lid. (Pictured) I applied the gel solution liberally to the mouse surface and spread it around with my finger to achieve even coverage. I placed the container in direct sun light with clear lid affixed. When I went back an hour later later I found that because the clear lid was sealed it had created sort of a green house effect and some moisture had built up in the container. The gel like product had become more runny and a bit of it had drained off the mouse into the container. So I removed the lid and drained the excess then poured it back over the mouse surface. I placed the container back into the sunlight without the lid to see if there was any difference. An hour later I found that the sun had significantly dried out the gel solution so apparently the green house effect served to keep the solution from dying out. I reapplied more gel then covered the container and put it back into direct sunlight. I repeated the process over a 5 hour period going out hourly to make sure the sunlight wasn’t warping the plastic and to reapply the runoff. At the end of the process I washed the mouse with water and mild Castile soap. Although the process was time consuming the results were well worth it.

Good product
Works well for the one time that I used it. It brought it back close to original color of white but not quite. I did the process twice and it improved it quite a bit. I will use it again because it did work and made a big improvement from very yellow to almost white again.

Never Worked!
Followed instructions 3 different times and it never restored the plastic carrier on my moped from yellow to white. Very dissappointed.

Awesome Product!
I tried this on an expensive vintage doll’s plastic face that had yellowed and it worked! I’m thrilled!

Basically hydrogen peroxide
I had to whiten up some old plastic that had yellowed. The common technique is to submerge the plastic in hydrogen peroxide and place in the sunlight or under UV light. I had a piece of plastic that was larger than my pan, so I tried this spray as a substitute. It worked, but made the plastic splotchy. The spray from the nozzle is not a mist, but more of a targeted spray. Wherever the blob of gel landed, the plastic was a different white than the rest of the plastic. I tried spreading it around which helped, but it never really worked as well and as uniformly as hydrogen peroxide. I will try it on some smaller pieces, but for large surfaces it didn't work well.

Excellent product. Followed the instructions and with a little help from you tube tutorials is completely restored my SNES controller. It really did a perfect job!

Produit efficace
Le processus a pris plus de temps que prévu. J’ai fait environ 5 séances de 6h, mais je suis très satisfait du résultat. Des puissantes lampes UV sont nécessaire si l’objet ne peut être mit au soleil.

Works well on old yellowed plastics
Bought this for restoring some older retro computer and electronics plastics that had yellowed with age. It definitely made a noticeable difference and brought the plastic much closer to its original colour. It does take a bit of time and preparation to get good results, so don’t expect an instant wipe-on fix, but used properly it works well. Particularly useful if you restore old computers, consoles or other vintage electronics. Good product and I’ll be using it again on more of my retro gear.

It really does work! But not a quick process.
Purchased to try and recover some yellowed plastic cases on old computers, following other people's posts on the Internet. And it really does work! In use, you DO need a good sunny day to expose the plastic item(s) to bright sunshine, once you brush on a light coating of RetroBrite. Then leave for several hours (I left a set of keyboard key tops out all day). The key tops I put in a clear bag, larger items I covered in clingfilm. After, rinse well and wash in warm soapy water.
