X3 Hurricane Air Duster 260+MPH Rechargeable Cordless Air Blower-Made in US

I recently purchased this product for use in cleaning up around my computers and desk area (with the added thought of using it when I detail my vehicles instead of dragging my air compressor out every time). I actually bought it used through the Amazon Warehouse, and although the description said it was fully functional it didn't blow any air at all when I received it. I knew the product had a lifetime warranty, so I contacted the company when Amazon only offered to accept my item as a return. I was able to immediately get someone on the phone, who was extremely understanding of the issue and helped me out right away. Within minutes I had an RMA tag, and my unit was returned to me almost immediately after they received it for the repair. Once I received the repaired unit, I immediately went to work cleaning up around my office. I was impressed with how long one charge lasted, and there was no constant stopping to wait for the can to warm up again and actually work like you have to do with compressed air. The X3 puts out a lot of air, and definitely enough to do the jobs it would typically be used for. The air stream certainly isn't as pointed or forceful as it is with a can of compressed air, but that's because the nozzle is bigger. However, when used with the small included brush attachment, I was able to get every dusty part clean as well as, if not better than, I could have done with a can. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase. The price certainly seems high at first, but once you look at the price of compressed air cans you realize that this unit will pay for itself pretty quickly if you use them regularly. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again if I had to, but with a lifetime warranty I know I never will!!

I was on the fence about this. Ive bought electric dusters before. Both plugin ones and battery operated ones and I've never been satisfied with them. Then while about to purchase a different duster I had this one show up at the bottom of the page as a recommended item. I looked at the price and the size of it and was skeptical. Then I saw that they had 1 open box for sale and it was $20 cheaper so I figured why not, what's the worst that could happen? I received the duster and charged it up then turned it on.... And omg does this thing make noise.. and blow a stunning amount of air. This thing could blow hot tar off a fresh paved road.. it may actually be the source of all potholes for all I know. What I can say with absolute certainty is that this will get any and all dust out of anything. I cleaned my computer and game consoles then a laptop then another computer and it just kept going. The only thing you need to be careful of is heat. Use it for a couple min and then give it a min or so to cool off. Due to how fast the motorspins and how much power it pulls from the battery it does get hot quick. It's a minor thing though and I can't recommend it enough. It's a great value even at full price.

This is for the latest X3 version. I've tried he previous ones for cleaning off rubber dust and dirt previously on RC cars at the track and they've never really impressed me. This latest model seems to have been improved on quite a bit. The nozzle seems to generate the most volume and pressure without the straw extension, but the velocity of the air and much better pinpoint air concentration is with the extension on. Either way will suite someone's needs with the X3. While pricey, it is so handy for blowing off without being tethered to a cord or pressure drop of a can. I've used all sorts of pressurized air to clean and dust, but this version of the "canned air" seems to have the best balance of portability and usefulness with the new higher powered model. This blower lasts quite awhile per charge and is the most frequently borrowed tool I have from my pit space.

I have had this for over a year, and it was sitting in a drawer until I threw it away yesterday because of the complete lack of performance every time I tried to use it. It seemed like a great idea, but it has not even half the power of a typical canned air. I purchased three new models to test this week from Amazon, and the two cordless were nearly twice as powerful and half as noisy as this. They also use micro-USB and USB-C to charge instead of the proprietary DC one needed for this. The third was a much larger corded model, so it is tough to compare it with that one. 1. It is LOUD and has a frequency that just grates on my ears (Subjective Observation, of Course). For how loud it is, I would expect compressor level performance! :) 2. I hate having electronics that are intended for electronics, are not high voltage, and still require a wall charger and don't use USB. It is just another adaptor to lose or find every time you need to charge it. 3. It is single speed instead of multispeed like other duster model options. 4. Other models have a simple feature where the dusting nozzle can either be turned down, or removed and placed elsewhere on the unit for easier storage. I hate having the huge nozzle be sticking out at all times or having to pop it on and of any time I want to use the unit. 5. Most importantly, the strength is considerably lacking. Whether it is CFM, MPH or just a weaker motor, the ability to blow or dust with this is nowhere near the strength of typical canned air. It is also not as strong as new cordless dusters available on Amazon that are 20 to 50% cheaper; some even have vacuum functionality as well. I ran a few simple tests against the new models I just got to see which I wanted to keep. Simple things like blowing a little mound of baking soda off a table were a struggle compared to the other models. I hate reading bad reviews (And writing them, actually!) that don't include clear reasons why they didn't care for the unit, so I hope this helps anyone considering this model. If you are looking for a good electric duster, do not buy this model.

I give them points for trying, but this does not have anywhere near the intensity of any ordinary canned air. It is indeed very loud. In my case, I also made the mistake of plugging the wrong charger into it, which totally fried the system and is not something one could expect the manufacturer to cover (since the instruction are very clear that ONLY the supplied charger should be used.) If I fried it and it was GREAT, I would buy another on my own dime... but this is not really a good alternative to canned air, I am afraid.

The X3 is a bit of a mixed bag. It does provide an inexhaustible source of compressed air, but it falls shy of completely replacing canned air. I got it with the primary concern of dusting my computer and other electronics, along with dusting my statues and action figures. In fulfilling those roles, it performed 'okay'. It was capable of removing a good portion of the surface dust, but struggled to remove any dust that was in small cracks, crevices, or other small areas. I would end up using the X3 first, then detailing and finishing up with canned air. The Pros: It only runs out of air when the battery dies. The battery lasts a loooooong time on one charge. You get a constant, steady stream of relatively powerful air. It charges pretty quickly. It's portable enough to reach difficult spaces or travel with you off-site. The Cons: It's LOUD, REALLY, REALLY LOUD...like an extremely high-pitched leaf blower. Where canned air runs ice-cold after a while, the X3 runs hot - you'll have to set it down or wear a glove after extended usage. The various nozzles really don't provide any boost or change to performance, so they're pretty much pointless. It doesn't have the *PUNCH* that canned air has; while it does blow a strong stream of air, it can't match the strength of the pressurized air that comes from the cans. It's akin to comparing the difference between letting a garden hose run with your thumb pressed into the stream of water, versus letting a garden hose run with a spray attachment connected. Pressing your thumb into the stream increases the pressure, but it just sprays water everywhere - using a spray attachment takes that force and focuses it into a beam, which concentrates all that force into once area. I even tried a little experiment with the nozzles of the X3, to see if I could replicate the the punch that canned air has; I retrofitted one of the X3's nozzle attachments with the red straw nozzle from some canned air. I figured, if I force the X3's air into a smaller opening, the exiting air will come out more forcefully, just like canned air. The result? The air left the smaller straw nozzle with the same strength as it did without. So the problem really lies within the X3's hardware - it just isn't capable of generating the same amount of pressure as canned air. All-in-all the X3 is simply 'OK'. It sort of provides a solution to canned air, in that it has a longer performance life-span, saves money in the long run, and provides a reasonably strong supply of air. However, if falls well short of matching the strength of canned air, it's noise can be deafening after prolonged use, it warms up rather strongly, and the nozzles are all but pointless. That said, I can only really recommend the X3 if you have a large quantity of regular dusting to do, and really, even then you'll need canned air to finish your job. I look forward to the hardware evolving and improving to the point where it is a genuine replacement for canned air, but as it stands, you'll still need canned air - the X3 really just keeps you from buying AS MUCH canned air as you used to...which in a roundabout why, serves as a replacement...of sorts.

Works well, and I've found many places I can use this, such as blowing out air filter screens in the computer, clearing loose dust out of the furnace or dryer during annual cleaning and maintenance, etc. Just know that the airspeed is not as fast as what comes out of the straw from canned air, and this will not dislodge dust from difficult places like what gets jammed into the CPU heat sink fins, and some other places. So you still need canned air, but you can use less of it when you find what cleaning tasks work with this battery powered unit. For the tasks it works for, it's nice to be able to get air for extended amounts of time. Where the compressed air cans will get cold and reduce airflow after as little as 5-6 seconds, either making you reach for a different can, or just wait, this unit can blow continuously for minutes. That's useful on larger jobs like cleaning refrigerator coils off, or clearing out corrosion and rust flakes from under the water heater gas burner area, etc.

I hope that headline isn't overly used on these reviews... About this magnificent beast... Fits in the tool box nicely, fairly light weight and powerful airflow. Felt a little pricey at first and was hesitant to spend the dough but we only tend to think of price when it's not associated with going out to have a night out on the town or to throw down a bet on our favorite team. After getting it and feeling how well it's made I didn't have any buyers remorse.
