I freaking loved this intense storyline.

Cut Wide Open is incredible! It grabs you from the first word, which for me, as a reader, is an extremely rare thing. And once you start, you won't be able to put it down till you're done!Abby McCarthy does an excellent job making you feel this deep connection to her characters from the start. I had tears and rapid heart beat in the first few chapters.The sex scenes are indeed explicit, but they have such purpose that without them the story just wouldn't be as powerful as it is. I've read other books with hardcore sex scenes that feel like they were put there just to have something nasty in the story. But not here; even the worst of Charlie's experiences are written so powerfully, and make the book just that much greater!I've read Abby's other books and loved them too. But Cut Wide Open is by far my favorite and I can't wait for the sequels!

This story will cut you open and make you bleed.Charlie, a quiet girl who watches the boy across the street. She keeps her head down and stays out of the way of there foster parents. Charlie was such a quiet and naive girl. When Gunner does notice her he is her world. When that is taken away and she finds out something that will change her life what will happen? Her life is changed in an instant and because of it she will grow up fast and become a strong women who will protect her son and do it on her own.Gunner sees the shy girl across the street. When she watches him he feels like there is someone there for him. When something happens that tears him away from Charlie he vows to find her. He looks everywhere with no luck. The day he sees her again it brings up so many more questions. Then in a blink of an eye she is torn away from him again.This book will make your heart bleed. Charlie and Gunner have been through so much and when they do find each other again the trouble just keeps on coming. Not only is this a sweet romance with two people who have a second chance it is also a story of coming back from tragedy. There was also plenty of action, angst, suspense and evil in this book that kept you guessing.Ms. McCarthy knocked it out of the park with another great book with characters that make you feel.

What an amazing read! The writing style flows from chapter to chapter. I love the way the story is told. It will grab you and fill you up. I had so many “feels” while reading it! I read it almost straight through only stopping because of that thing called sleep and work.‘Maybe this road, I was meant to walk alone.’Charlotte “Charlie” Morris has been in foster care since she was five years old and living across the street from Gunner Reed since she was eight.‘I am here as a paycheck. Not the me that hides, or the me that can walk through a crowded room and not be seen. You. See. Me.’Then everything changes. Gunner and Charlie lose each other through circumstance. When they are finally reunited it is not how either would have planned. They are both Cut Wide Open…..The story gets very intense. The situations are dark. The emotions, high. I was on the edge of my seat as I rode this crazy book! There were many happy parts as well. I feel that Gunner and Charlie’s story was well told. They both had burdens to bear and loved each other through them.‘We all have scars, some scars bleed brighter than others’5 stars!!!!!

Charlie goes through quite the transformation from start to finish and I enjoyed seeing her develop into her own despite her devastating circumstances.One of those stories that contains loss, despair, love, hope and so much more. I would definitely recommend; 4 solid stars.

One of the best MC books I have read!This book was exciting, full of grit, and very sexy. Having said that, this book is very raw in some scenes and can be hard to read.It had a few twists, and I love when books do that! I feel as though she was meant to write MC books. You could really feel/read the passion she has for these characters. I can't wait to read more!!!

Charlie,Mouse,was a foster kid. Unloved and mostly ignored she watched the boy next door . Gunner watched Mouse watching him , noticing her when no one else did. Then just as things started to go right Gunner is gone and Charlie discovers she's pregnant. The majority of this story takes place many years later , it takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Loved you found out a bit of the clubs history and get introduced to a few of the members so you're already invested for the next story. If it's as good as this one being it on...

Loved it! So raw, real and different.....loved the story line and the characters......try this book out..its a beautiful love story! will make you laugh and cry.
