This Gooseneck Phone Holder is the Mackdaddy of phone holders. The best design I've ever used. Rock solid. I've always purchased types that stick to the windshield, but no more.. And they always eventually fail & fall off the windshield. I love how this adheres to the top of my dashboard in my Mini Cooper. I have a small windshield and hate blocking my view outward with the phone blocking sightlines, too dangerous. But this fabulous piece sticks to top of my dash beautifully and my phone is situated in front of dash NOT blocking any view through windshield. I highly recommend it and it's very affordable too. By the way, once I put it on the dashboard it has never come off since. 👍👍

According to my purchase history I bought this phone mount in December 2023. I’m only replacing it now because we moved to a house without shaded parking. Mine started to melt off the window 😅 but that’s not the mounts fault! It’s the direct evening sun. As you can see, even though it’s been slowly melting since June, it’s fighting to hold on. Prior to the melting, there have been ZERO complaints or hiccups.

I bought this one to replace a vent mount that I was never really that happy with and eventually just wore out. This was actually my second try and works so much better than the first attempt at replacing the old vent mount. The first one I tried still mounted to my windshield, but the seal just couldn’t hold up to hot summer days in the southeast. It would stay mounted for a few days and then fall off again. It also had an arms that was made up of straight segments that were held together with tightening joints. But since it had so many joints in places, these joints left four separate potential failure points. After carefully tightening all of them, after a few days, the road vibrations would inherently start to loosen them. And your perfectly positioned phone mount would just start to collapse. So that’s why I tried this model and third time’s the charm! The one piece, bendable aluminum arm took my potential failure points from four to only two - where it attaches to the glass, and where it attaches to the cell phone cradle. And so far those two spots have held firm and it’s been working great! It’s way more stable than any of my previous cell phone mounts. It hasn’t fallen off the glass and the two joints seem really stable and haven’t loosened up at all. What is different is that it does bounce a tiny bit while driving, just with the vibration of the road. But you get used to it very quickly and just tune it out, and it in no way impedes your ability to read the screen. I’ve been really happy so far.

This car holder made by APPS2Car is much better than a previous smartphone car holder that stuck to the windshield lasted only about 2 years. My old unit's long arm broke from the suction cup as I was trying to tighten the smartphone holder to the long arm. The old unit was no longer available on Amazon, so I searched for a better unit, and by accident found this one on Amazon. Thought I'd try one before purchasing several more. Wow! The suction cup is thick and very strong (will last a long time in hot heat from the sun), and the base connected to the suction cup is very sturdy and strong, unlike my older unit that broke at the suction cup connection. The suction cup is covered in a special gel to prevent it from easy release from the glass due to cold-to-hot temperature changes to the windshield which would allow the suction cup to expand or contract, and thus fall off. This unit will not come off easy...which means you will need to know exactly where to position it first on your windshield before making contact with the windshield. Make sure the long arm is bent to your dash's dimensions and height so the long arm's rest pad sits evenly on the dash. Once you've positioned the ideal location of the phone holder and the rest pad on the arm, push it firmly against the clean windshield and it will remain there almost forever. I went back and purchased three more of these units before they ran out for my other vehicles. To the designers: Good job!

Good product however...It works but when the wind shield is hot the phone gets hot... so you got to find a place where the sun does not hit the phone

So far I am very pleased with this product. Easy to install on my vehicle dashboard. Lots of ways to customize where your phone screen is facing. I like the adjustable feature where it fits snugly to whatever size of phone you put in it, and then at the press of a button on the back, releases your phone when you get out of the vehicle. The gap along the bottom is helpful for being able to charge my phone while it's in the holder. I have high hopes for this to continue to perform well. One possible design flaw, which I have experienced with similar phone holders, is the opportunity for the plastic to break at one of the weaker points in the product, for example at a joint or where there's a lot of pressure from weight. I will update my review if/when it breaks. Fingers crossed it won't, considering the price point.

Produit bien conçu et bien fini, parfaitement stabilisé grâce au support complémentaire et choix judicieux d'avoir prévu une base à fixer sur le tableau de bord (le pare-brise étant loin dans ma BMW série 1, il était impossible de le fixer au pare-brise ou alors en plein champ de vision). A voir la tenue dans le temps...
