Works flawlessly and Does bypass hdcp.
I bought this device so I could get around hdcp. At first, I couldn't get around hdcp and was planning on returning it. However I did some more research and found out how it does get around it. Unfortunately,it's not documented anywhere. To get around Hdcp, you have to connect output 1 permanently to a Hdcp complaint device first, then output 2 will be the signal that bypasses hdcp

Easy and has dip switches to force resolution
Works and has option DIP switches to force 4k30 or 1080p EDID which was needed in my case. Don't forget to buy a micro USB power supply ! The product is in a metal case and well constructed.

Works well
So far works really well. A 4K and old computer monitor at 1080p, both receiving the same signal to play music from a streaming player.I docked a point for the forced barrel jack and AC adapter. There is some line buzz with it, but the input is just 5V 1A which is a simple USB power that can be supplied from a battery bank. I had to purchase a cable from USB to barrel jack and run it this way.

HD Audio Passthrough to old AVR
I don't write reviews often...let me preface that I ordered 5 other 4K splitters at the time of need and this particular model (including another U9 model) was the nicest build. The material is metal (as opposed to some being plastic) and all of the connections being on one side is a plus. With some other units, I had cables going in and out on both ends and it made for an awkward placement in my media cabinet. There are very bright blue indicator lights that are ALWAYS on when the unit is plugged into power. This was remedied by a piece of black electrical tape.My need for this product was because I have a 2009 Pioneer AVR that only includes a 1080p output back to the tv. As such, I needed to be able to split my 4K video signal from my Nvidia Shield Pro (2019 model) to both my 4K Dolby Vision TV (Sony X900H) and also passthrough the HD audio (Dolby TrueHD and DTS-MA) to my receiver for processing. The bottom of the unit has printed scenarios and indicates the various rocker switch configurations depending on your needs. My setup above required the 4th configuration. In summary, I had to push the EDID switch down from "AUTO" to "OUT1" and the "AVR" switch and the "4K TO 1080p" switch needed to be ON.Once I did that the Shield/TV indicated that Dolby Vision was available and asked if I wanted to use it. After a few seconds, the Shield properly output Dolby Vision to the TV. I was able to check this in both Disney+ content and also files I have on my media server playing back within Kodi (Leia 18.9 build).I've watched a few films thus far on the Kodi and finished watching WandaVision on Disney+ and the U9 ViewHD UHD1X2SA simply works. It allows me to continue receiving HD audio from my older AVR while getting the best picture possible from my Shield and 4K TV.I reached out to customer service twice as I was unsure of which model I needed to buy in order to get the results above. I received an email the same day and was told the ViewHD UHD1X2SA was the way to go for my setup. The customer service even went as far as calling me to discuss my setup at length. Upon receiving the unit I didn't get the rocker switches correct and reached out to customer service once more. They advised the same day how they needed to be set up and I was good to go.I would highly recommend the ViewHD UHD1X2SA if you need a high quality 4K splitter with great customer service at a very good price.

Works great to strip HDCP on the PS3

HDCP begone!
Confirmed the U9 Pluto does not allow HDCP pass through. Perfect for my needs. Great little device!

Worked once, then never again.
I used the product one time so that I could capture footage from a PlayStation TV. It worked alright the first time. A few months later I tried it again (it was safely in storage in my office, nothing should've affected it), and now it doesn't power on.
