Bioluz MR16 Bi-Pin Bulbs Have Good Quality, Warmth and Brightness
Very happy with my Bioluz dimmable LEDs! As replacements for dimmable halogen track lighting in my kitchen, I wanted decent brightness and high quality/duration bulbs. They provide excellent brightness and warmth at 3000K (the Goldilocks temperature in the kitchen) and allow me to put more heads into the tracks due to lower wattage per fixture. Really good lighting on all the work surfaces now. These aren't perfect. They flicker a bit at low dimming levels using Lutron dimmers. They are slightly larger ("taller") than the halogen bi-pin bulbs they replace. However, the first batch has been in operation for almost four years with no replacements and no failures. I'll happily sacrifice some flicker at very low light for the cost of running their halogen peers.A good bulb by Bioluz and a worthwhile investment in energy savings and quality light!Obviously, you have to order

Reliable LED's that do what they are supposed to.
These LED lamps work alot byyer than the original ones that came with the fixtures. No blinking, a ittle bit brighter.

Good bulbs. Watch for fixtures not made for LEDs
Update 1/2026Bulb blinking issue caused by recessed can light (Juno brand) not having transformer compatible with LED. Bulb rating upgraded to 5 stars.Original review:Great simple bulbs. I replaced halogen versions in 18 fixtures in kitchen and living room. Used daily. 5 on a circuit with dim switch slider. All work great. Happy with color and brightness. But now have had 6 of 18 go to slow blink on/off (on 1 second, off 6 seconds)Purchased and installed February 2022. Started having fallout 1 year later. Replaced a few. Now 1.75 years in service, I have three now all blinking and going out.I was expecting longer life.

Still bright with dimmer in lowest setting.
I just installed a pack of 5. They appear to work well except for one thing. They are still fairly bright after you turn the dimmer to the lowest setting (the halogens I replaced went dark). On the other hand, if you turn off the power and then turn it back on with the dimmer at the lowest setting, the bulbs will be dark when you turn on the power. Then, they brighten as expected as you move the dimmer up. Then, if you move it down, the bulbs stay bright. Very strange. I'll try mine for a while to see what I think but may switch to another brand if I don't like the way these behave,

Great lights!

Inexpensive yet Reliable LED replacement for MR16 Halogen (12V)
These provide bright and reliable light, and cost a fraction of comparable bulbs from GE and others. I have bought several sets of them, and have had zero failures and problems, which I can not say about other less-expensive LED's. These have worked as a direct replacement for my 50W MR16 halogens. I have had no interference with any equipment (for instance, RFI or buzz in electronic audio products.) So far so good. LEDs are supposed to perform for five to 10 years. So far my longest experience has been about six months, with no signs of any defects, problems, or deterioration. Since they use 7 watts to replace 50, there's a noticeable effect on our electric bill, so I expect the investment to repay itself fairly quickly. Some of these bulbs are offered in 12V DC and 117V AC versions. Make sure you get the right one.

Perfect replacements
Great bulbs.

Incompatible with Lutron dimmers
I would have given these a four: great white color, cool operation, fast shipping, good price, same physical form factor as standard MR16 halogens, slightly brighter than the 50W narrow beam halogens they replaced; not a five, because they have a limited dimming range (they don't get much dimmer than 50%, even when the control is all the way down). However, it turns out they are incompatible with the Lutron wall switch dimmers in our home. Hence the 2 rating.I wanted to use them in a string of 6 recessed lights, and I swapped in one; it was fine. The dimming range is limited, the dimmer has 24 levels, but below about 15 these bulbs just stop dimming; the halogens I had in the same string dimmed all the way down to an orange candle-light glow. On the plus side, the light color of these LED lamps doesn't change to orange as they dim; on the minus, they don't dim below about 50%.When I swapped in the rest, they started to blink slowly - about 2 secs on, 10 secs off - whenever I set the brightness above about 75%. It didn't make sense that I could be overloading the dimmer, since it was fine with 6 50W halogens, and these only consume about 8W apiece, but I pulled out a couple anyway, leaving the other sockets empty. Same blinking. Pulled out all the LED lamps but one; same blinking. Added back in a Halogen; the blinking went away. Added back four more of these, for a total of 5 LED and one halogen; no blinking. Pulled out the halogen, left the socket empty; blinking again. In summary, I could drive up to 5 of these LED lamps, as long as I had at least one of the Halogen bulbs in the string. But I couldn't drive even one of the LED bulbs if there were no Halogens. Because of the huge difference in brightness between these LED bulbs and the standard 50W halogens when not running close to 100%, leaving one Halogen in the string of LED lamps was not an option. So now I'm shopping for a dimmable MR16 LED bulb that is compatible with Lutron dimmers.

Susceptible to step-down transformer type and capability
On the plus side they are bright and white, brighter in fact than the 50w halogen they replaced, however, as these are low voltage lamps, they are sensitive to the dimmer and step-down transformer. Even using an LED-compatible dimmer, you can only dim these between 100 and maybe 85% before the flickering starts. This is quite possibly not the fault of the lamps, but the transformer, and so just be aware that due to be eacy 12v LED replacements, you need to ensure both the dimmer switch and transformer are happy to driver these at less than 100%

as expected
used in my kitchen over sink bridge - replacing quartz light - normal dimming capacity with luthron switches. As you know every LED dimming differs as you can not get dimming below a certain minimum
