These work as expected to save ears from the mask ties. I like that they provide sizing options so that the mask can stay close to my face. Without these, my poor ears hurt because I have a small face and without these, I must twist the mask straps to make them shorter. This solves that.

I am still masking most places indoors and when there is a crowd outdoors. I have glasses and hearing aids, and my ears are really, really tired of mask straps. These little things are wonderful!!! Easy to loop a strap over one bumpy thing, put the mask on, and stretch the silicone around to fasten the other ear loop. I no longer have sore ears from mask straps. I recommend these highly.

I found the effectiveness varies by type of mask. I prefer to wear it on my neck and with some mask styles it causes the mask to pucker and not fit tightly. For others it works perfectly. It is a little difficult to hold in place and get the ear loops around it and get it all on. It's best when wearing a mask for a longer period not when you intend to take it on and off.

These mask extenders conceptually work great. My only complaint is that they're just slightly too short, despite the fact that I have a small head. I sometimes have to add a rubber band to make it more comfortable when using this with earloop masks. But this is an important tool since getting a good seal on a KN95 mask can be tricky (and will definitely be a better fit than any surgical mask). This is so important because covid is still present (and year round) and continuing to disable millions of Americans and there currently is no cure for long covid. Also, flu/rsv season is starting. Masking is caring for ourselves, our loved ones, and our community.

I bought these because I needed something that would not hurt my ears when wearing a face mask. They are awesome for starters. I put my mask on right away and wore my mask comfortably for several hours without needed to remove my mask. My ears were not sore which had been the case wearing a mask without these extension straps. Totally worth it. The silicone looks long lasting but only time will tell.
