Excellent product
This unit is excellent, simple to use "so simple even a caveman could do it.". I had purchased a ION converter previously ending up sending it back because it was difficult to use and kept sticking. I was skeptical about this one at such a low price, but I only had a few slides to transfer and didn't want to spend a ot of money , but I was really surprised, This unit was easy to worked and did the job, no problems. For each slide transferred, (after you loaded the holder) took only two easy steps, It allowed you to preview each slide before saving and rotate if necessary. Highly recommend .

Fairly Good Product
It is a fairly good product, and the quality is ok. I am interested in getting thousands of old family negatives processed, and this product has been able to perform fairly well. Honestly, I wish the quality of the color reproduction was a little better, and I dont like that I often get dust spots showing up, but for the money I paid, it's worth it. I can adjust the finished photo in an editing program if I need to, but usually it is not needed. As for the dust spots, I wont even bother developing the negatives on this product now unless I have a small air-spray can to blow out the dust from the product every few minutes, otherwise there are too many spots to even try. When installing the product, I definetly made it hard on myself by not finding out if the computer I was using was 32bit or 64 bit, it caused alot of trouble until I did it right, but then the installation went fairly well. I needed to allow the product to work for a little while before it began to adjust to the point of getting the colors right, at the very first point when it started working the colors were horrible, so bad I almost sent it back immeadiatly to the manufacturer... but giving it a bit of time did the trick, and now it is working without any problems with ok quality.Could I have gotten better? Yes, but only by paying more, so I think it is a good product for the price it costs.

Great Little Device
This little gadget is wonderful! I had many slides from the 1960s to convert and this little baby did the job! It is VERY easy to use and set up. Just follow the easy directions. One word of caution - 35mm slide conversions work best - I had a lot of the very old slides that were square with a slim slide frame around them. The converter only picks up a 35mm size so just be aware if you have the square type slides the top and bottom will be cut off. It didn't matter to me, as it was just wonderful to digitize these very old parts of my family's photos. Now that I am done using the converter, I can sell it on ebay.... Its a great tool, and well worth the money I paid.

Don't Except Professional Quality, You Won't Get It
I recently purchased the Innovative Technology 35mm Negative and Slide Converter from Innovative Technology a few days ago. To be completely honest, the only reason I purchased it was because it was on sale for only $29 and I had a $20 Amazon gift card. Based on the reviews only, I definitely would not have paid full price for this product. Since it only cost a few dollars out of pocket, I decided to give it a try. Here are a few of my thoughts:--------------------Shipping--------------------I ordered the product on June 8th, it was shipped out the same day and I received it the next day, June 9th. Shipping was incredibly fast, as it was "shipped from and sold by Amazon.com."--------------------Construction Quality--------------------I was actually quite surprised by the overall quality of the product. It was a bit more durable than I had anticipated. The plastic construction of the camera/scanner was fairly decent and the rails that hold the negatives and slides were very durable. There are magnets that hold the rails together which makes it easy to place the negatives/slides in as well as run it through the scanner. Overall, I was satisfied with the construction of the product and the accessories.--------------------Drivers--------------------The scanner did not immediately work when I first installed it. I then reinstalled it. Still nothing. So I went to the troubleshooting section in the manual which turned out to be less helpful than I thought it would be. Their solution was to uninstall (which I did), then reinstall (which I did). If that didn't work, they suggested I contact them via email, only. So, since I work with computers in an IT environment every day, my first thought was to search for an updated driver online. Turns out that Innovative Technology has an updated driver for this specific model. So after I uninstalled again, installed the new driver and rebooted (I think rebooting the PC is a big must in this situation), I was able to access the product with no issues.--------------------Capture Quality--------------------I wasn't expecting too much in this catergory. And they really didn't deliver more than I was exciting either. The picture quality is significantly less than what you'd get if you were to take your negatives/slides and have them scanned professionally. Anyone who would expect such high results from such a lower quality, non-professional machine who simply be foolish. I'm not quite exactly sure but I would assume that outside light that is leaking into the machine causes the images to come out much brighter than the original negative. Also, there is much "wiggly room" for the negative/slide, so I'm guessing that causes a significant amount of drop in quality. Personally, I am not a fan of the outcome of the images.--------------------Overall Thoughts--------------------This is a decent product ONLY if you get it on a crazy good sale. If you are just trying to get an image off an old negative and you don't want to spend much money, then this might be a solution for you. As long as you continually dust off the negatives/slides AS WELL AS the inside glass of the machine, the images will come out fairly decent. But don't expect anything that looks professional. You won't get it with this product.
