A little awkward, but optimistic
Our first attempt was "a learning experience". As anticipated, our doggo was not thrilled to have something clipped to her tail. She spent the first few minutes trying to spin and remove whatever was holding onto her tail, so that took a little patience and training. After encouraging her to walk around with the clip attached, she was comfortable enough to relieve herself (note that I tried this at her normal "poop time", so she knew what was up).For our first attempt, the bag wasn't quite in the right position, so it managed to catch about half the poop. It DOES seem that the placement of the bag encourages the dog to poop more readily, but unfortunately, it also causes the dog to feel like they have poop stuck to their butt after they finish, so it causes the dog to panic a bit and either try to sit on the bag, or twirl, or otherwise try to get the bag off after they finish, so it's important to distract the doggo with a treat or something right after they finish so you can quickly remove the clip from their tail. This is our 4th day using the bag and I've learned to get the bag snug against the base of her tail and she starts to poop with it pretty quickly. After that first day, we've managed to capture ALL of the poop.A few tips & suggestions: Open the bag a little bit before attaching it to the clip. It makes the bag open more easily to hold the poop. Make sure the bag is snug at the base of the tail, and centered. The bag can easily become dislodged and go off-center, which will cause it to miss the poop.Environmentally speaking... I'm not very pleased with the product. As a person who was already trying to get away from more plastic waste, I don't like the fact that this product is causing me to create MORE plastic waste. It would be much better if the disposable clips were made with cardboard and compostable plastic bags, or better yet plant-based plastic bags. I'm also not thrilled at the idea of having to spend about $10/month just for poop bags. That being said, no one enjoys picking up poop and this certainly makes it easier once the dog gets used to the device.

LIFE CHANGING
LIFE CHANGING PRODUCT FOR ME! My 14 yr old pup has pancreatitis and since being diagnosed he’s been pooping 4-5x a day … even though he’s house broken and does his business outside it’s been a nightmare! His poop is mostly diarrhea, and he paces around our fenced in yard from one side to the other for about 10 mins before picking a spot - I watch where he goes and then clean it but at night it’s hard to see and since he’s so uncomfortable he poops a little here and there and then he goes back around and steps in it 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Then comes inside and needs his paws washed. I kept thinking I need a product like what horses have to catch it when they’re on the street so I googled and found this and I AM AMAZED! I read previous reviews and clipped it at the very base of his tail and it fits perfectly and has caught 100% of the loads with no mess! I am lucky my boy didn’t seem to notice or mind AT ALL but I am so thankful I came across this and had to share a review incase anyone else is having a struggle and loves their old dog lol. I’d give 10 star rating if possible!

Works but need a size smaller.
I bought this for our 1 yr old pug who is extremely stubborn. We live in the country and don't have a fence so I take him out to potty and wait or walk a path. I don't care where so we don't use the bags, only the clip. I reduced a star because at the bottom end of the wieght bracket,(he is 23 pounds/ medium clip is 22 to 45 pounds,) he usually does a full body shake and it falls off before it finally works BUT it does end up getting him to quit jacking around and get his business done outside instead of 20 minutes later in the house! Helping to get him potty trained finally! For that I would recommend this but I do wish they made it in a size small.

Cumbersome, Doesn't Always Work, Have to Use Their Bags.
I have a yellow lab who is 53 pounds, well within the weight limit recommended for using this system. The first time I used it, it worked, but afterwards when the dog moved the device moved down. The second time I used it, the poop did not hit the bag, probably because the dog moved before relieving herself. The device is cumbersome, difficult to keep on the dog, and doesn't always work. Plus, you need to purchase their special bags. I sent it back for a refund.

Works well
This worked as described lost one star because a few of the bags where put on the plastic peace backwards and it only can work one way. Also the clip could be a little stronger. Possibly an upgrade in the spring would do the trick. This tool has been a life saver for our Sr. Am Bull Mix. He was constantly eating his poop and making himself sick. (You can only recycle waste so much) this has been a life saver and yes it could use some modifications but there is nothing like it on the market. Now if they could create a similar item for pee 😅

Really helps my pups hear nature's call!
I bought this not for the bagging convenience, but with the hope that it could encourage our distracted pooper to actually do her business. My hubby, a former vet tech, was super skeptical. However, one try on the distracted pooper and she suddenly found the urge to do her business. I was wondering if it was just chance, so I tried it one one of our other dogs as well. Same outcome. Hubby is no longer a skeptic, and we always have this close by our potty area in case one of the dogs gets too distracted to do their business. Awesome product!

Excellent invention!!
My 13 yr old black lab mix was having issues with his legs/ backend. I thought his hip and joints but it turns out to be neuropathy. He would not always go anymore outside and would end up having bowel movements in his sleep or just as he is laying down. I bought these but didn’t use them for a month after getting them. Then I decided to try after watching the video of how to use I found it quite easy to do. It only takes a second or two to attach to his tail. Yes if he moves around a lot or sits you may have to readjust it but when I first put it on him he used it right away! I was amazed. No mess no fuss. Easy Peasy. It’s been a week now and no more messes in his bedding or in the house. He doesn’t always use it because he doesn’t need to go but when he does, it works just as it should. Take your time and watch the video it’s plain and simple!
